The Situtation
Northeast U.S. — AMSN
While the New York area has remained relatively quiet, it has now been a full year since COST successfully repelled a major UFS offensive in the region, forcing the attacking force to withdraw.
In recent weeks, however, Coalition intelligence has reported a significant increase in UFS naval activity off the coast of New York. Warships and support vessels have been observed operating in greater numbers than at any point since the failed offensive, prompting concern among military planners. COST officials believe another UFS attack in the New York area may be imminent but remain uncertain about the enemy’s ultimate objective or why the region has once again become a focal point.
