Battery upgrade: need suggestion

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I hope this is the best platform to ask regarding airsoft accessories. I need a suggestion to change my battery from Nickel-Metal Hydride battery 7.2V (drains fastly and heavy) to a better one. I need a high capacity, long lasting and low weight battery. One of my friend suggested me to choose LI-polymer battery pack (https://mach1airsoft.com/product/tenergy-lipo-7-4v-1200mah-20c-short-stick-airsoft-battery-pack). Any issues using this battery? Suggest whether I need to upgrade to Li-Po battery or is there any other option better than this. Share your experience if anyone tried this.

Thanks. :)

That size lipo is fine, the 7.4V types are roughly equivalent to a 9.6V NiMH battery which shouldn't hurt your gun. Fyi, you can buy a similar lipo for 1/4 that price on Hobbyking.com. They have a section for airsoft batteries, so I would recommend taking a look through that.

Yes Hobbyking is the place to go, most of the airsoft lipos are under $13 and they even have a warehouse on each US coast so shipping is fast, make sure you get a good balance charger and plug in low voltage alarm also either a lipo sack or an ammo can to charge and store your lipos in so they don't get damaged.

If you need small 11.1v you can look into Firefox or Valken but they will be very expensive.
