Wondering about AO and general Milsim info (1st Milsim)

Recommended Posts

Hey this will be my first Milsim event and i had a few questions regarding the AO and just general info for future events. So please bare with me!

Is there a designated place we can charge our AEG batteries?

Will there be shops to buy extra gear in the case something breaks?

What time do we need to show up?

How much are Bio BBs if they are sold there?

Thanks

No, best to bring a charger that will run off  a car battery or 12v

Yes, Xtreme Airsoft will be on site with ALL your airsoft/Tac gear needs

The schedule has not been posted yet, however you will want to show up Friday afternoon to make things "easy on you".

Check Xtreme Airsoft's website that will be the price.

+1 to show up Friday afternoon if possible. Getting registration/chrono/safety briefing out of the way Friday night makes Saturday morning prior to game start soooooo much less rushed.

Welcome to MilSim - you'll love it!

RE: Charging

When I was at IH, they had a station setup with chargers but for ~$40 you can get a 12v/car converter at Walmart.  I have one of these and it's awesome.  Just remember to bring your actual charger.

RE: Vendors

I've been to only (2) MilSim events and each time there was a sponsored vendor there selling gear and parts etc..

I have a couple questions about this event too as this will be my 1st American Milsim event and my 1st time at this field.

1. Looking at the event schedule I see the start and end times for the rounds. Will there be any breaks in gameplay during that time to eat or use the bathroom etc, or will this be an "eat an MRE in the field/FOB whenever you can" type of scenario?

2. Should I take my backup guns to the FOB in case my main goes down or is it best to leave them in the car and get them as needed? I remember reading something along the lines of "take whatever you need for the day to the FOB" but I didn't know how strict they'd be on returning to your car for items. Or if simply returning to your car from the field would be feasible or not.

1. There are not scheduled breaks eat as you can.

2. I don't bring a backup gun, however you can bring one if you like. No one is going to rip you a new one if you have to go to your car to get a weapon it's just a long walk at broken home.

I plan on camping out during Broken Home.  Did I miss a layout of camping locations?  I've been looking in the forums for locations and what if any services are provided.

You camp in the parking area, there are toilets spaced around the camping area, electrical hookups are like $20, and first come, first served.
