OBH V Rule Changes

Recommended Posts

Remember,

I, as a player or leader, can reconsolidate ammo among my squad instead of calling for a resupply every hour? This will expand my combat duration and hopefully restrict the sprayers by making them dependant on their squadmates as well, if they are needlessly blowing through ammo.

With the exception of your SSW, not too many out there should have a need for the mag emptying suppresive fire. Besides with good command and control, a squad can be extremely efficient without humping around thousands of rounds. I see them regularly on the field at these events.

AMS staff-
How would you feel about players carrying the BBs on them, but still having a "box" at the FOB that would be the resupply? The "box" would be empty, but the players would not reload until the "box" was brought to them. I bring this up for squads who do not know the other players in their squad. Also, it makes players "feel good" knowing that they have their BBs with them instead of someone else taking them.

I am simply throwing out an idea. What are your thoughts?

I see it leading to more problems than it prevents.  The entire resupply procedure is designed so that reloading isnt done unless the unit is there.  At other times the resupply crate will be at the FOB, as well as potentially locked.

There is a simple solution.... get to know your squad.

As it currently stands, players will not be carrying their extra ammo into the field under any circumstances.

Do we have any restrictions on what items to leave in the box aside from ammo?

Could we, if we so choose, keep spare batteries, gas, speedloaders, emergency snacks (sorry guys, im a fat kid, i need my snacks) etc.

Sorry if this has been answered, didn't see a definitive answer anywhere else.

That is honestly dependant on how each unit packs their crate.

My personal list would be as follows:

Resupply crate:

BB's, 2-3 grenades, speedloader (normal mag size one, NOT the Elite Force super whiz bang pump-it-like-youre-jerkin-it one), gas, food (as room permits)

On my person:

batteries, snak paks

Optional:

Still take a backpack with me for other incidentals.   More food, Gatorades, clean drawers (accidents happen!), various scented oils for backwoods encounters.... etc

Would be mine too Candy,

I just wanted to make sure there was not any restrictions in place, so that if I wanted to stuff a speed loader, and food, grenades, etc, in addition to what i am allowed to carry on me, then i could and not worry about being in violation of the rules. Was just looking for the official sign off to stuff it as i see fit.

Besides, where else do you keep all of your backup scented oils.. .what if you ran out? Lots of backwoods for backwoods encounters at D-day

Clear answer on the mag limit please. Alex said 7 rifle mags INCLUDING the one in your rifle, but JP said 7 rifle mags PLUS the one in your rifle. Also, I may have missed it, but what IS the max for pistol mags?

No limit on secondary magazines.

In my opinion, the only thing that should go in the box should be bb's, grenades, and rocket rounds.  These are the items that are restricted on the field.  You should also think that this box has to hold an entire squad's worth of ammo.  Food, snacks etc might not be the best items to pack into this container.   The best thing to do would be to check with the rest of your squad as to what you guys would like to pack into the container.
