So ahh fellow CoST sympathizers. Which faction are you guys choosing for Broken Home. CDF or CoST?

I just noticed that myself...150 person 3rd faction in the field with 2 other 300 person factions. That really peaks my interest. I would be hard pressed to chose. Overall I am a CoST fighter through and through but if I knew a little more about the scenario I may go CDF just to change it up a little.

I think Broken Home this year will really prove interesting. I see alliances being made and broken in the field.

I've always said, CoST4Life, CDFonOccasion.  Ran CDF at Rebel Yell, so I'm stickin' with CoST.

I have a funny feeling those CDF might have some ulterior motives, especially after seeing whats in store at ESR with the Federal reinstatement of the Volstead act.

This has me so hyped, the thought of CDF going to be there really appeals to me. Now excuse me for getting too into this stuff but I'm not for politics, I'm for keeping my friends and family safe as long as I can. And that is exactly the reason CDF fights. So you can count me and my RPK in and we'll take on anything thrown at us. Especially with the help of the ever present medic.

So will we be seeing CDF break away from CoST more often?

I think we will be seeing CDF do whatever is in their best interest regardless if they bite the hand that feeds them.

Which means it will be cost and cdf vs ufs like always. ;)

And I would like for you guys to get back to the cdf that we had at obh 1 (my age is showing) where they were not always armed. Sometimes they would just walk through the ao as civilians and we would have to deal with them as such. It added a whole other level to game play and training that we haven't seen since.

So will CDF be like any other army on field? Or will be more of the indigenous force that the two armies encounter as they take towns? Which in the later case they would be resisting whoevers occupation comes first. :)

I could see CDF as a wild card. In fact I could see CDF units splintering in support of either side to point where you would see CDF vs CDF situations as particular units side with either faction OR they could be resistant to both forces equally not wanting ANY government to be imposed upon them and in essence may try to establish their own form of self governance.

Bottom line is that there will be a lot more going on in the AMS setup and story. I could even foresee more regional based factions emerge...maybe even a splintering of established factions.

I don't think it will be like this at all actually...

I think all 3 factions will have conflicting interests and diplomacy and cooperation can only go so far...

The way I look at it as this:

I'm CoST for LIFE.  When I play CDF, I see myself as a CoST Combat Advisor, or something similar to that, helping to organize the CDF in combat situations.  If I have to choose, I'll always choose CoST.  :D

Look at it with a wide scope.

Every conflict, real world, has a minimum of 3 individual elements. The Army on the left, the Army on the right, and everyone caught between them. The two Armies have definitive goals, while the group stuck in the middle always has their own goals depending on where they are located and who seems to be the dominant force in their AO.

So, how well will the National Powers work in your AO?
