Which side?

Recommended Posts

I'm kinda stuck on making a decision, but which faction should I side with? I have no direct connections to either CoST or UFS. I understand that CoST is kind of in a pickle right now, and that everyone is joining UFS because they're the winning team. I tend to like a combat challenge, so it makes me lean towards CoST. However, if I go CoST, I will need to buy a helmet cover, combat shirt, and pants. If I side with UFS, all I need is pants (the ones I bought don't fit). But green is my absolute favorite color. But Multicam is sexi. But so is Atacs FG. Getting way into this, I believe states should have the ability to make their own major decisions, but then again, I think a Federal system truly works best and Sovereign territories would be a bit more prone to conflict.

Maybe some of you guys could give me a little bit of persuasion? I am easily bribed by junk food.

I do make bad jokes though.

This is one decision I just cannot make.

Think of it as this. STAR WARS: The Empire(UFS) vs. the Rebels(CoST). What side would you pick? Another example: the American Civil War. American vs. England. Basically it's the government military fighting against the civilians. Of course UFS is winning right now, they started out with the most land anyway. It may take years for CoST to get a foothold on the country. If I were you, I would go UFS (tan) until I get some extra money to buy a new green uniform.

To me, UFS seams superior, but unstable. CoST may be gaining a lot of ground now, but it may be hard to keep that streak going. If you get to involved in the storyline, it could take the fun out of it. Just pick which side you like, and stick with it!

I am BIASED but CoST have been the best bunch of folks I have ever played with. That being said UFS has been the best bunch of folks I have played against. Either way you are going to come out winning here no matter which side you pick.

CoST pride though. It runs deep. Multiglam is just faded M81 anyway. Ditch the tan and glam and go green and mean :) /end recruitment pitch.

Convincing, very convincing.

I think I'm gonna go Cost and run ATacs FG. I go active duty here in roughly 5 months. When I get back home, well, lets say I'll have a few extra bucks to spare and buying some new camo would be in my budget.

Up to you really. Best way is just to attend an event with both sides and decide afterword. Different personalities and leadership to experience. Neither side is a bad choice.

Most choose just based on their preferred camo pattern.

Meh.

It's all pretend.  I play COST because that's what my friends play.  If they switch then I switch.  I'm there to have fun, sling plastic and hang out with my friends.  I don't even care which side wins.

When a thing is given value and then achieved through hardship it makes the value a reward. In the end there are no trophies, no medals, no tinker tape parades...only a bunch of grown men and women acting like they did when they were 9...only with more sophisticated toys. Still when your team is victorious...you take pride...and earn respect...and above all make new friends...even if you had to shoot them.

Its not for winning that I go...but when my team wins...it makes going so much better. Should the other team win...rest assured they would have earned it.

Pretending is fun...I get to be a kid playing GI JOE again and the best part is I get to have beer afterwards. Beer is much more awesome than Soda.

I'm a Cost man. Even if we lose a lot, I will never be UFS. I started out as cost and I have made plenty of friends on the field that I'm committed to the side. Win or lose, cost pride.

CoST, its a pride thing...

UFS started this whole ordeal in the first place, they are the creators of strife.

Honestly, there are cool guys on both sides and I'd be happy on either one. I went UFS cause I only had Multicam at the time, but the call of the M81 is getting stronger...

Since I have yet too attend a ams event(crossing fingers for BH5)I haven't picked a side. My preference for green camo's would lean me towards cost... But the fact that almost everyone I play and who plan on going to broken home with me use multicam almost exclusively...I'm probably gonna be going UFS.

At the moment camo is the only real deciding factor in this.

It's all about that experience....in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter what side you are on. Roll with your brothers. Still....friends don't let friends go UFS :D

From what I have seen COST seems to be more a long the goofy fun side which is what I prefer, and hey if you want a squad of mixed army/air force guys to run with for broken home 5 we got room for more.

So it's been decided a friend and I will be attending BH5 as our first ams event.(our first mil sim event in truth). Unfortunately down 2 from the 3 I was originally supposed to have with me.

However my buddy and I still have not decided on which side to register as, at the moment he's leaning CDF and I'm looking at CoST...we need to come to a decision soon though as we will register the same side.
