questions regarding the area.

A friend and I are planning to to come to copperhead 2. But could'nt help but notice how close it is to some pretty shady areas . Has anyone had any run ins or problems with any cartel ?

And for my next question . Do the games run 24 hours? Or does everyone settle at a certain time and just continue in the morning ?

We didn't have any problems last year when we were there.  Please check the event archives to get an idea of how the schedule works.

While we have not set the event schedule yet, looking at last years will give you an idea.

This year we will start later in the day  12-1 PM through to 10-111 at night. Then Sunday 10-2.

Was at event last year. It is pretty wide open country surrounding event site. Yet, there are a ton of Border Patrol around the area. I did drive over to small town to get pizza eat and had not problems.
Since the area is open range, you are more like to run into cattle or horses on road ect than unsavory characters.

Of course a bid dose of common sense is in order

Yeah, you won't have to really worry about anything as far as crime or cartel or anything.  With my job, I work all over the United States, and I have worked in Eagle Pass, TX and it's right on the border and I had no problems.  Border Patrol is all over the area with night vision and thermal cameras...plus, to be honest, I doubt the cartels would come anywhere close to a Special Forces training facility...

Don't sweat any of the stuff the media blows out of proportion, just come out and have a great time!
