Swedish m90 for CoSt?

Hi guys, I messaged AMS asking if wearing swedish m90 camo w/ ranger green pants would be acceptable for CoSt fighters. The camo is very green, but I would hate to have my team of 9 drive 17 hours to be turned away because the camo isn't accepted.

 

This is similar to what our loudouts will look like. 

 

Also, will there be a night portion??? I've noticed on recent games the game ends at around 9pm... I seriously hope there is one for this game

Quick question though, why? is there any specific reason like looks tan from a distance or something like that?

Since the storyline follows a future American civil war, it's likely because they want it to feel more as if there are American camouflages being used by both sides, not foreign ones.  I would suggest you guys just save up a few extra bucks over the next 3 months and pick up some M81 woodland tops for the event.

 

Also, you have to consider that at this time of year 9pm is well past dark.  You have about 50/50 day/night game time along with the day/night transition.

Quite simply.... because once you start to let one oddball pattern... then you have to deal with allowing or disallowing every other oddball pattern.  

 

The camo list is convoluted enough as it is.  *cough*

Okay. I personally think it'd be cool if it were approved before the game then it should be allowed but rules are rules so I'll respect that. Do you by chance know how long the night portion will be?

2 hours, 21 minutes long.

 

I hope not.. That's a really short night game. I'll be out there all night, night games are where it's at

A 9 pm end time going forward from a projected 6:31 sunset leaves 2:29...and proof that I can't do math.

 

I would very much like to see a 1200 to 2200 run time on Saturday to get another two hours of play, I think that'd be the sweet spot. I felt that Faded Giant 4 ended too early on Saturday. Maybe we can get a consensus and take it to AMS staff?

I definitely agree! I'd love to see a longer night game. midnight or 2am would be perfect. To me it's not milsim unless it's a challenge mentally and physically and a 9pm endex is not a challenge.

AMS is always open to feedback.

 

Ironclad 2 ended at 11pm and the majority of people said that was too late so FG4 was modified. The times are also set for each AO as they have different features. I am sure the owners will try to come up with what they feel is the best possible overall time frame.

Where/what would be the best place or way to give feedback to AMS for this event? My team plays blacksheep games all 24/7 and the longer the night game the better!

It's okay... I've got M90 I'm not allowed to wear either, lol. I save it for the local stuff. :)

We set the times for the "majority" of the players. There are always hardcore guys that are physically in shape and can handle 10-14 hours non-stop but the fact of the matter is that small percentage would just end up on the AO by themselves as everyone has already exited the combat space.

 

Last thing we want is to have  handful of Billy Bad Asses (BBAs) on the AO @ 2 AM with no tangos to engage or sneak around.

 

 

We are still looking into an invite only 24+ hour event that would most likely be in TX. We had hoped for this in 2015 but didn't happen.
