Camping at Broken Home 4

Recommended Posts

I am pretty curious on what the camping scene is like at the AO. Do the majority of the players camp or find nearby hotels?

It's a mix of both, but hotels are limited.  There is a casino nearby that has a large hotel, but I think they are sold out as of now.  I think that there is some convention in addition to being memorial day weekend.  That being said a LOT of people will be camping.  We have quite a large camping area.

Camping is definitely handy on this AO. Do be ready for rainfall though just in case. BH3 last year had a pretty good storm with some flooding, and some groups were a little unprepared for it.

Yeah, we had one of the worst storms of the year at Broken Home 3. My tent was trashed and flooded and I had to sleep, soaked to the bone, in the back of a tactical stealth APC (Prius)

But that being said, the camping was so worth it! The camping grounds are massive, there's always something going on and a host of cool people to interact and hang out with. I'll be camping from Thursday morning all the way to Sunday.

Not provided by staff, no.

Then what do you suggest Other than obviously charging them prior to the event?

Or paying for a powered camping spot I got a action camera but only 11 hours worth of batteries so that's what I'm gonna have to do

That's what I'm doing. Gotta keep my batteries and contour charged :)

There are also car chargers for batteries as well.  You can charge them off of the cigarette lighter/power port or hook them strait up to the car battery.
