Opinions on Endura-cool Head/Neck Wrap Use in Airsoft

Recommended Posts

I have recently purchased a Endura-cool Wrap that i think would be perfect for summer play because with the heat alot of people tire out easily and by using this i think they could stay energetic longer.

they have 3 known colors Blue Tan and Black.  Available at local LOWES home improvement stores for 20$

wet wring Snap and wrap.

Wet: pour water on it, (Minus any water over 90 degrees). Wring excess out, snap it (Pull it opposite directions) and put it on. it will keep you at least 20 degrees cooler regardless of initial temperature of water.

In the box you get a diagram of how many ways you can wrap it, i suggest using NINJA.

That is all..

EDIT:

EDIT 2: Another thing i forgot to mention in the initial Post, You can suck water through the fabric via straw/Bite Valve/ Geiger pump. Makes a very useful item to have.

Sounds like like a larger version of the frog togs. We bring some of those with us to the hotter events like Broken Home and Rebel Yell. Good to have for anyone dropping from heat related issues or when you break for lunch on or off the field.

I might have to invest in one of these, looks like a nice alternative to your standard balaclava. How hard it is it to get water from the hydration carrier through the fabric? It seems like it would be hard to get it through

I use my Zensah Neck gaitor, but any kind of moist wrap is better than nothing at all. People may not realize that using a wrap around your head is cooler than wearing nothing at all.

Its only as hard as pushing the fabric into your mouth.

Additional input: Endura Cool also have a flaw when using them in game, depending on humidity and amount of water left in the fabric at time of application to skin, will determine how often you need to "Snap the Fabric." this can be a hassle when in the middle of an op.

Another key bit is that it keeps sweat from dripping and is absorbed into the fabric to reuse as a cooling formula. your sweat alone when in use constantly, can keep you cool for hours on end. snapping once or twice ever 2 hours, as your sweat is reused in the cooling cycle. if you work outdoors or construction, these will definitely help. you will notice a difference in your sweat patterns. you head may feel slightly clammy while your torso is drenched in sweat. as opposed to both being drenched and dripping. and when your in what feels like 100 degree heat, youll want to feel that 20-30 degree difference using this.

if someone is feeling creative, you can make a whole bodysuit to wear underneath your Combat uniforms it will keep you cool without the need to "Snap" because your body movements will stretch the fabric and collapse it. doing the same thing as actually Snapping it. So it will Revitalize the Cooling Posture.

As a warning to those of you who like "Du Rags", i would not recommend wearing it like so. its a waste of Recyclable sweat.

also let it be known that it functions properly when in contact with the skin.
