Its usually hard to say as a foot soldier, but if I had to hazard a guess my money would be on the UFS.  They pushed us all the way to our spawn, admins told them to fall back, and they were pushing us hard again when EndEx was called.

This is true. At the same time I can't even remember how many times we were racking up our kill count by nailing UFS as they were leaving their FOB. We were literally sending BB's into it. We even told an admin that the may need to relocate their FOB because of it but they just allowed us to continue to slay bodies. We pushed their left side (our right) to nearly the train tracks several times. There were several good pushes made by both side throughout the entire day.

we couldnt really ask yall to not fire into that FOB as it was a captureable FOB. we had a rear FOB further back so thats why the admins didnt do that. It kept the ufs guys from sacking around by hanging out at the FOB. The harder you push me, the harder I push back. Take for example me being 10 yards from the bridge and being told to move by admins. Yall attacked us so I returned the favor. I do not play to lose nor win easily. If I am not pushed I am not having fun.

From a cdf perspective: we seemed to control our right flank through out the day like metal said. But ufs was pushing hard on our left flank as well. I'm not sure who really won because we never got any objectives. But mako crik was under tight security at the end of the game so I think we won based on that.

Okay, and this is exactly what I was talking about.  Since I was with the Group who was at the far north (left) side of the field, it seemed like we bore the brunt of the UFS advance.  Since we basically stayed in the same stretch of cars the whole day, I never heard about gains we made to the south.  Glad to hear we were giving as good as we got.

I'll be interested to see the official "score," and how it sets the stage for OBH3.

To Rainmaker: except for the time near the end of the game when we surrounded you on three sides by the camper took out your vehicle and crushed you. That was fun. :) There where no live CDF left in the area.

You can thank the admins for this. Sending 1/4 the cdf forces on a wild goose chase for a nonexistant objective gave ya an advantage.

Likes:

1. Drag Rule - I wasn't sure about this at first but, it adds an extra challenge to the game. I found out first hand how difficult it is to drag someone. As long as people continue to use common sense I hope it stays.

2. No DAM missions - I love DAM missions but, in my opinion they disrupt game flow. (See more below)

Dislikes:

1. The Friday night OP at the high school was disappointing. However the location was very cool. The cafeteria filled with transmissions was very creepy. It was also explained to us why the OP didn't go as planned. So thanks for being upfront and honest.

2. No OP patch - That has been handled.

3. No DAM mission - (see below)

4.The weather - AMS really needs to "DO WORK" on controlling the weather better ! :)

Suggestions:

1. I would suggest doing one day OPs with the second day devoted to DAM missions. I know not every one will agree with me but, in general the people that stay for the second day of play are probably the ones that would do a DAM mission. By doing this the staff, command, and the players can focus on the OP. I can honestly say that I probably won't participate in another DAM that takes place during an OP.

2. I would like to see more of the basic rules gone over in the safety briefing. I know AMS and the players want to get on the field ASAP but, I seen some uniform issues and even one guy using a flash mag. Unfortunately some players pay their fee, never check the rules, never hook up with a squad, and never visit the forums. Possibly even have the players inspect each other before they hit the field.

That's it. Thanks again AMS for another great OP! See ya at Broken Home 3!

You just threw a wrench into something that was already working good. Now we have to debate every issue you just brought up. If we get to complicated then it is no longer fun. Just let things lie!

Not sure what the thing about the OP not going as planned is about. I arrived as troops were rolling out friday night. Care to educate me?

He was refering to the fact that the troops at the school did not get any action. So I was told by AMS, green failed to send a squad to retrive/investigate the school we had been patrolling. It was really cool to be out in public with our gear on, but would have loved to get some trigger time in.

I just think there needs to be stricker rules on uniforms. There were many times where I thought tan were green and vise versa. For being so cold there and despite some gun problems on my end. I had a blast.

The admins had to stop us and gather everyone on one side of the school to let them in. They couldn't get in without help. Just fyi.

If the mission on Friday actually took place you guys put a whompin on us. My squad saw some combat about 100yds in front of our position, but that was probably a decoy huh? We were hanging back near the railroad tracks and a later a gate as security. Our comms weren't working so we figured that was our safest bet.

I think that's what we were supposed to do anyway. My platoon leader may have been following special orders, I didn't ask. I just did.

Friday night EVOs are designed to be completely objective / team based. If you are doing it right you should take little to no contact.

Issue with the school was instead of a single UFS squad patrolling there was about 3, it was more of a Combat Controller issue than anything else.

Again this was a pilot program for whats to come at OBH3 so there is some tweaking involved.

The uniforms were a slight issue for us. As CDF, we saw black jackets and assumed they were on our team, but they also turned out to be wearing MultiCam pants. It was quite obvious which side they were on after they shot and killed our squad...

Welcome to Milsim...

This has been an issue since war began.

I agree with JP. This IS milsim. In a real military operation you would have to ID targets. Snipers especially have to deal with it a lot.

yea myself and 3 others secured the large house near the forward FOB and saw no contact so we just played with nods

Agreed with JP. Target identification is and should be a major part of our events. As long as there is a genuine identifier to clearly put them on a team, thats fine. (This should be pants/headgear of course)

That being said, I like to clearly identify myself with my team. I wore all tan and Multicam. Makes it both easier for my team to recognize me as one of them, and immediately lets me know that teams firing at me are the enemy. (As I'm easily Identifiable.)

I suspect that this OP was a little more muddy in team differentiation as people were racing to get softshells for the weather, and those were in limited quantity. Honestly, Kastaway had no tan with them from what I and my team could see. So those that chose black were in the right IMHO, as they didn't choose the green option. (Which is clearly a no go color tone for UFS players.

JP- Will there be a staff published AAR thread for ESR19-2?

All shit talking aside, I wish I got the name of the tan guy from ECR that led the push near point G (penske truck area) around 10:45. That was the first time a UFS leader has managed to push the Instigator/Aesir platoon out of a position in any of the ops, and I have to give him mad props. He made it fun to take back.

It would be nice if all UFS would wear UFS flags somewhere on their uniforms. They only cost 5$. I intend to stick one on my helmet at Broken Home. They are a distinct military so really they should be wearing flags. As for CDF they are just that, Civilians.
