Firstly, I enjoyed Broken Home II and will be returning for Broken Home III.

Secondly, I enjoy meeting people from the forums, hanging out, having dinner, etc. There are some really cools guys who play on both AMS and UFS sides.

Now, the things I'm about to note on next are probably going to get me a lot of gruff. I don't particularly care though because I think they need to be said. I understand not a lot of people want to make a big deal over things and cause 'drama'. However, I really enjoy airsoft, and I legitimately care about AMS, so I'm going to do what I can to make things better. How do we improve? By stating what is wrong, how we fix it, and pointing out the butt heads.

First things I'm going to go over are some of the 'common sense' stuff that many of the participants apparently don't get.

1) AMS doesn't do it for the money. If you haven't learned that yet, you're WAY behind the curve.

2) No one ever 'wins' an AMS event. Without a point system there isn't a way to judge who wins and who loses.

3) Broken Home is a 500+ player event. If you think you are going to be catered to, you're wrong.

4) It is American Milsim. You are supposed to be simulating military exercises. If you're told to do something you need to do it. Even if it isn't something you'd like to do. This is about your team as a whole, not just you or your squad. You're likely going to be asked to do things you don't want to do because another teams needs to do something else. Stop fucking your buddies.

5) Death isn't permanent in airsoft. Stop being pussies. You not doing what you're told when you're told is fucking your buddy over. Everyone hates a battle buddy fucker. We call them Blue Falcons. If you're a blue falcon, people don't like you. You know who gets picked to be the badass platoon/squad/team? The people who remember they have balls (figuratively speaking, as I've seen plenty of female players who had bigger balls than some of you).

6) YOU ARE NOT AN ADMIN. Stop calling other people's hits. Stop acting like you know the rules. Pisses me off. Pisses everyone else around you off when the game has to stop so you can go 'correct' someone. No one likes you. There is a reason admins have red shirts on and AREN'T PLAYING THE GAME.

a) When you shoot at someone and they don't call their hit this is how it breaks down. 90% of the time you didn't hit them. 6% of the time they didn't feel it or you hit something like their backpack sticking out from behind a tree. 2% of the time their bodies are still in the process of telling their brains they are hit, are in the process of pulling their rag, or wanted to get the fuck out of the way so you stop shooting them while they call themselves out. 2% of the time they're not calling their hits for whatever reason they can fabricate for themselves.

b ) You don't know the rules. Trust me. You don't. I'm the God damn XO and I even admit I don't know them by heart. That's why I carry a rule book/measuring tape in my backpack.

c) Your 'calling people out' does nothing but make people think you're a huge butt head and stop the game. Even if someone IS cheating.. do you REALLLLLY think that you calling him out in front of everyone else is going to make him re-evaluate his Airsoft life? Go get fucked dude. You're just causing problems. Be a man about it, pull your dead rag, find an admin, and tell them of the situation so that an admin can oversee/correct the problem. Note how I said pull your dead rag and go talk to an admin. I didn't say pull your dead rag and go rule lawyer it yourself.

7) This is milsim. Yelling, cursing, etc, is going to be a part of it. That is fine. However, it is NOT ok to scream at someone specific 2 inches from their face and being 'threatening' towards them. Some UFS asshole was doing this at Pegasus bridge and I wanted to tell him to fuck off so bad. However, I was CoST XO, not UFS XO. I'll police my own.

8) Most of you guys aren't even remotely close to being on the level of Army Infantry let alone "special forces". I'm not saying it isn't fun to run around being SF. Everyone likes to feel badass, special, etc. But let me be blunt with you.

Most of you don't even have your weapons sighted in and just aim with your BBs. Most of you don't understand how a hopup really works or set your hopup accordingly. I doubt most of you sit in your back yard and do reflex firing drills. I doubt most of you do any sort of combat drills outside of the events you attend.

Why is this important? BECAUSE YOU AREN'T AS GOOD AS YOU THINK YOU ARE. Neither am I.

9) You're going to get shot while you're dead. Especially if there is another players near you who isn't/doesn't have their dead rag. Get over it and stop being such a whiny bitch about it. I got shot more while 'dead' then alive. It's part of the game. Christ.

10) If you don't have your dead rag up, you're going to get shot. Too many players just walk around casually who aren't dead. The rules state it is mandatory for you to have a dead rag if dead. Don't get all bitchy when you're walking down the road and get shot the fuck up. You don't even have your hands up. Something I preach to everyone at our local field: "It isn't anyone elses job to 'figure out' if you're dead or not. It is YOUR responsibility to convey you're dead to other players."

So, that being said, I'll go into specifics that I saw.

1) The guy yelling at the teenager at pegasus bridge. Not only were you being a total butt head, but you were completely WRONG. Not only were you out of line there but several of your own team mates, as well as CoST called you out to administration for various other things. Then you walked around at the end trying to 'rule laywer' people when you didn't even know the rules. You weren't even watching your own guys. You were trying to oversee the opposite team. Because, yeah, sure that's a good idea. I watch to make sure hits are being called too. But I do it to my own guys. Not ONCE have I ever walked up to a UFS person and 'corrected' them. I've talked to UFS leadership and AMS staff about it, but it isn't my place to lawyer people I'm not in charge of.

2) I saw a few people, both UFS and CoST shrug hits off. Fuck you guys. No one likes you and we don't want you to come play with us.

3) I had an admin speak with me about my own hits while on a quad. Which blows my mind because I spent close to 40 minutes out of the last hour and a half probably bleeding out while on the quad. Just because you engage someone, don't hit them, and they engage you and hit you, doesn't mean they're not calling their hits. It means they were better than you at that moment. I'm not saying I'm the best player. Far from it. My knees kill me, I'm slow, little over weight, and no where near as accurate as some people. But fuck you for calling me a cheater when I have my 'good moments'. You don't see me whining and bitching when someone out guns me.

You know, I came away from the end of the day really proud of myself for some of those moments.. I felt totally badass that I dismounted, used the quad as cover, and nerfed some guys. Then I hear that people were complaining to an admin about 'hits' and you just take away that awesome feeling from me.

I feel awesome when I do something cool. And I think other people are awesome when they do something awesome too. So to have someone complain to me just totally kills that awesome feeling for me. Shame on you. Seriously.

Don't get butthurt just because you aren't meeting your ego's expectations.

4) To the guys on UFS who threw smoke out on Pegasus Bridge and rushed through the smoke to assault the east side of Pegasus Bridge. This is what I'm talking about. Freaking awesome! You guys got all kinds of fucked up by the CoST forces there but christ you guys were pretty cool.

5) To whoever was on the black quad at the end of the second day. Our little stand off was something I was telling my buddies all the way back home. Extremely Epic. To everyone else, let me explain the situation: We both came around a corner on quads. Both of us stopped. We both looked at eachother for a few seconds unsure. The other guy then slowly started to grab his gun. At this point I jumped off of my quad pulled up my rifle, and started shooting. I ended up not getting hit and ended up shooting him because I got off of my quad and started running to the right. This guy didn't act like butt head when I shot him. No, he road by me and we high fived. You are pretty freaking awesome bro. Later I saw this same guy drive by and light up a whole squad of people behind a concrete cylinder.

6) To the guys who ran across the road and Caen and shot/axed some of the guys in the window before I shot you. Freaking awesome again!

7) During an armored push at Pegasus bridge I jumped off of my quad to engage targets on the south side of the road. During which someone behind me on the north side of the road shot the living fuck out of me. Damn that stung! But awesome job. I would have said hi and great shot but 1) didn't want the rest of my team to know your location, and 2) was preoccupied listening to the butt head yell at some kid.

8) To the guys who used to vehicle to push up on Pegasus Bridge. You all were walking behind it. Sure, most of you guys got shot from across the bridge, but awesome push none-the-less. Despite most of you guys getting shot I think a few guys made it and that was more than enough as you took the west side of pegasus bridge soon after. This is a prime example of how not being a pussy/buddy fucker gets your team progress. You guys weren't selfish, put yourself on the line, and your team succeeded because of this.

9) To the guys, perhaps the same guys, who tried pushing up with a truck at Caen on the second day; again, awesome. I ended up flanking you guys and shooting a lot of you (then getting shot myself). If I hadn't been in the right spot at the right time I fully believe you guys probably would have broken a hole in our lines for the rest of your forces to push through. There is a good chance that if I hadn't pulled up on the quad and shot a few of you before getting hit myself you would have the spear head for your whole army. Freaking awesome guys!

10) To CoST 1st Platoon. You guys are a shining example of what we hope to work with AMS to make. Hopefully soon every platoon will work with the cohesion that you guys did. Bagel did an absolutely AMAZING job running you guys and everyone did an absolutely AMAZING job being total bad asses for him. If you were in CoST 1st platoon you should feel pretty freaking sweet.

So yeah. Again, had a ton of fun, and will be back next year. Love AMS, love what they do, and glad I had the pleasure of getting to know them personally.

For everyone that comes out to have a good time, is humble, took time to get things squared away before hand, and is just generally a pleasure to play with or against, thank you. Despite not knowing who you are specifically I just want to note that I am so grateful for what you guys do. It's not hard being right when people around you are being fuck tards. You are so highly appreciated. AMS is really working on making things better and I hope that the other crowd doesn't deters you from attending in the future.. Hope to see you guys again!

(4) - (8) Your Welcome.

You guys were tough!

Tell you the truth, not sure why I rushed the bridge with 1 pistol mag and a trench knife. I guess Primary was out and figured had to get back to the FOB to rearm . Tell you the truth I didnt expect to make it past the tactical on the other side of the bridge, let alone make it to the other side. Glad I had the smokes on me or the tactical would have never came to assault. Only info I gave my PLT Leader was, Hold My primary , I am going to do something stupid ...

I was massacred in a final push from a line to the right after I tried to run into the building. I loved the medic that made a valant burst across the incoming fire and yelled " Hey buddy where are you hit , I'll take care of you!"
... I would have taken out your medic that tried to medic me if the rules allowed it ... he just had so much spirit for his job , I stopped him and I told him don't medic me I am on the other team, I would have to kill you.

On a lighter note , my knees are hurting a bit today too =)

Awesome times!

That was some good teamwork there... I ran out of white smoke and threw the purple one.. Turns out the purple smoke covers better than the white...

I'd like to also add- To the CoST guys we did a gun run on the second day with our truck, you guys annihilated us.. Good job! Also, I believe it was the CTAC guys, your rocket launchers are awesome and I know I gave mad props to 2 of your HWS guys for the great job at shooting those rockets... Working on getting the raw footage uploaded, will be editing this week.. Edited video will be posted no later than next week..

Had a blast playing with you guys!  I was belly crawling under the bridge when the first smoke fell into the ravine and landed right in front of me.  I held tight and waited for the smoke to fill around me and used it to push the rest of the way to my sniper who had already made it up the south bank and was doing work.  At the end of the day Sunday I saw Zero Hawk on a quad he might be who you are referring to.

Mayo, squad 3-4 were the ones who popped smoke and charged Pegasus Bridge. Mostly guys from Panhandle Patriot Milsim, but we hooked up with some marines as well. Thanks for the shout out.

On a side note, I was disappointed in how many UFS I saw cheating on simple rules. Several were running highcaps, reloading in the field, shrugging hits, and denying rocket hits. Oh well. Bunch o douchebags. Thanks for a great game to both sides, and to those that do follow the rules. It will continue to spread.

I think that was me and Maverick on No. 6. We got killed, bled out, ran back to Pegasus, then came back around to charge another part of the Caen. And die. But we did it with style.

Agree with what you are saying Mayo.

This was my first AMS event and I have to say I had a blast.  I apparently tore a muscle in my right leg begining of day 1 and kept on playing.  It was all that adrenaline pumping that kept me going.  Holding Pegasus bridge at the end of day 1 was a lot of fun.  Someone said retreat and give up the bridge and while the marines withdrew what was left of army platoons 2 and 3 stayed and held.  Flanking in behind the Cost and then having that vehicle run up to us and completely ignore the fact we were still alive was priceless.  I have to say while there are always going to be dishonorable players on both sides I saw a lot of cost players with honor and I want to say yall rocked.

First off thanks AMS staff (and mother nature) for another great op...we (I) had a blast!

Secondly, somebody please post a link to that Bad Ass S&W sniper rifle (one of 2 in the country) that they gave away.

Lastly, my BH2 AAR/observations...

  • in the final days leading up to the op, i saw the post where the roster had been changed and was really taken back until I spoke with my PL who put my mind at ease...I don't know why it changed and assume it was becuase a lot of folks signed up at the last minute...my advice is don't re-rack and make exceptions to the roster and create undo stress for those of us who signed up in advance/early.
  • Communication - at the opening CoST briefing we were all told that communication would go through the chain of command and i assume it did for the most part but what i observed made be wonder if there weren't some ongoing communication issues.  During our assault on UFS CP the CO was maneuvering around on his 4-wheeler giving orders face-to-face to our platoon vs. radioing him.  At Pegasus Bridge and the last stand at the CoST CP there was a lot of yelling and screming by command vs communication from or PL/SL...just my perception, sorry if this offends anyone.

Thanks,

Torch

First of all, I want to thank the AMS staff for all the hard work that went into preparing this event, as it was one hell of a time! We players love the work you do and support it 100%!

Now for my little bit on it.

The whole event was a blast in and of itself. The helo, the technicals, the skilled players, i could go on and on. This really was IMO the best event in airsoft history I have attended thus far. I really enjoyed slinging plastic at COST and with UFS. You guys are the reason myself and the Eagles take the venture down for some southern hospitality and plastic :) The caliber of people at these events AMS and Players alike are unlike anything I have experienced and I feel honored to be a part of the awesome community of milsim.

I'm not going to going to go into the cons and bash people for what should always be expected at any event, no matter how well policed by admins (because c'mon guys, ever seen a football game where a flag WASN'T tossed in its entirety? There's always that dirtbag that wants to ruin someone else's experience. Don't let them get to you, most of us are here to have a great time and shoot and be hit just like you.) But what I will get into is what went well at the event and maybe some tweaks that could enhance the next BH.

The things that went well: (For as long as I was in the fight, of course IMO)
1. Other than a very minute and not worth mentioning instances, everyone seemed to be having a blast. I saw many a thumbs up and high fives to and from opposing forces for awesome hits and epic moments. Kind of reminded me of the sportsmanship shown during ESR:19.
2. Being this my first time at the Broken home event, the helo runs were awesome and definitely a great addition to the stress and tactical mindset.
3. The terrain was definitely brutal and i saw a lot of people who were visibly tired but still giving it their best to enhance the experience for all. That was also amazing to me.
4. The firefights. Oh the firefights. I gotta say, this op had some of the most intense plastic slingings i've ever had the pleasure of being a part and victim of.
5. The command structure (at least from the UFS side). The organization was MUCH MUCH better than in the past and I'm very pleased with how things were ran at this Op as opposed to previous ones. Keep that up!
6. The raffle. Such awesome products were given and even the little free things that we got (some not so little like Ricks, tossapalooza of sure grips, which i saw many people really appreciated) was sweet. I will say i was a biiiiit envious of the guy who won that Remington Longrifle. ;p.

Tweaks:
I actually can only think of one at the moment (I'm sure later the rest of the team might have a couple ideas that they'll post but here's my .02$) Now of course this is just my opinion but as far as helo runs go, I'd like to see a little more balance in how many runs a certain faction can have just due to the fact that it becomes a nuisance when you have a constant stream of gun runs going all over one faction. While i was in play, I can only remember 1 friendly UFS gun run out of them all. Again just a little thing no real big deal.

And Lastly i'd like to give a big thanks to the players and first responders on AMS and in the field. I was the guy who messed his leg up and am very thankful for the help i received. (I had UFS and COST rushing over to help)I'm very appreciative and  It really again solidifies the reason why I love this community. And had it not been against some advice from AMS med staff and the doc, I would have walked...er hobbled back on to that field again :)

On behalf of the Eagles and myself thanks again for another awesome experience and we'll see you guys back on the field for OP:RY2

This was my second National level airsoft Op, and it was everything I hoped it would be.  Since this seems to be the feedback page, here are just a couple of things.

Overall, the level of sportsmanship on and off the field was just great.  Going into the op, it was looking like the camping would be seperated by faction, and I'm actually really glad that that fell through.  There is just something great about being able to share a campsite with the same guys you fight against.  All that being said, as a sniper I NOTICE when you don't call your hits.  It didn't happen a lot, but it did still happen.

To tan soldier at Pegasus Bridge (Day 2) who accepted my hit, even after his buddy tagged me, thank you for the outstanding sportsmanship.

To the tan soldier hiding behind the tree-stump/dirt mound in front of Caen (Day 2, final push), sorry about the headshot.

Finally to the CoST Command, while I have absolutely no hard feelings, next time you ask me to run recon behind enemy lines, keep the communication flowing.  I could have been way more helpful with a bit more direction on the field.

Thanks again the the AMS staff (& Co) for putting on a great Op!

I had a great time and I really didn't see any D-bag moves until the second day when a player sat in a nest full of dead tangos and was firing on our forces. Yea I was pissed and I let him know it after I figured out what he was doing. The whole group walked off after that, I hope he realized his fault even if late and called himself out.

Glad you are OK Bud.

We were wondering how things faired for you. Sometimes when a brother goes down we have no idea what happens to them. I am glad you are good. I am glad you took the advice AMS staff gave. They are the best for a reason. We did lots of work for you as well. Good to go!

Eagle, I wasn't around when you got hurt but this is how airsot milsim should be, we should be a brother hood and should be always willing to help each other out.

I also had to take a team member in to have stitches and ran into a player who went to the hospital via ambulance due to extreme dehydration. Long story short he needed a ride since he had phone issuse. This isn't about me but about how he ended up being part o a group that comes to our local area to play. I had no idea who he was and didn't care, just knew a brother player needed help. This is how we should all play but to many don't see it that way, thank goodness that is a small number though.

Good to hear that you had a good time even though you got injured and even better to hear that you are recovering. :)

Hahaha, I love that my platoon was responsible for alot of the awesome stuff Mayo was talking about.

Sucks to have to call out shenanigans like this, but hopefully the guys who had the issues see it and chill out. Mayo's right when he breaks down those "hit shurg" percentages. I know there were two seperate times where we were getting shot at, hitting the dirt, and a guy would totally miss, but get a lucky one to glance my hydro carrier or something as I was getting low, and one of my guys would be like "bro, he just tagged you". Those moments suck, but what you have to remember is, the worse it sucks for you when you get killed, the more freaking awesome it is for the other guy that he got a badass kill. Don't ruin the game for another player. That's the way everyone needs to play.

On that note:

MOTHER OF GOD WTF HI-CAPS?

I'm going to "pretend" some of you just didn't know. But to every single one of you guys I saw running hi-caps when you shouldn't have been, shame on you. I love me my bitch buckets, and even I went and ran mids, and put up with the jamming, and the crappy feeding, and all the d-day gunk getting all up in my stuff. So did 99% of the guys at this event.

Overall though, great event. I have a few things i was go nna bring up, but I have a much longer writeup encompassing some of the freaking awesome sportsmanship I saw on both sides over the weekend. I'll get that up in a bit.

Great post Mayo.

I had a great time this year compared to last. Running DAM was amazing and had a blast doing so. Awesome job to CDF during the night evo; I got completely baited coming out of the tree line.

Saturday my squad got tasked with doing some recon on the Caen the first day and took us nearly an hour to sneak all the way behind Caen. Sucked that our coms were shot to shit and had a difficult time relaying information back to command, but made for a great adrenaline high. We sat outside Caen for about an hour watching Cost send transport after transport. My squad was never told that EndEx was at 1700 and not 1600. We decided the last ten minutes of play (still assuming game end was at 1600) we would make a push on Caen. Unfortunate for us we were killed by admin as they said we could not attack the Cost COC/TOC, the mission was fun either way.

Thanks to everyone that played and to AMS for putting on this event. I had an amazing time and met lots of great people.

EDIT: Highlight of the week has to be Rick's Tour bus Saturday night. "Where else can you get a near death experience and a tour in one trip?"

Holy Crap. Did last weekend Just happen? Because I swear to all things blue and named Xenu that had to be the most Euphoric Milsim dream I could have had. But judging by how much my body hurts we must have really done some work.

I'd like to start off by saying Thank you to AMS, D-Day, and all of the sponsors that help make a game like this badass. I've been to three of these so far, and while I didn't feel this way at the beginning, by the end of the game, this one ended up being my favorite one yet, and of any national level event I've attended, this was the smoothest one. JP, Bo, Rick, Frosty, and all the other AMS guys who's names i dont know or can't remember [because dehydration] you guys are awesome.

I'm gonna go through the quick list of things that I think, as a fellow part time small scale events planner and admin that I would have liked to see, and then i'll finish it off with all the badass stories of either side, and all the displays of sportsmanship that gave me a giant milsim hard-on all weekend.

1. More admins. - we were told by top, so I understand if this was some miscommunication, that we would all have an embedded admin for each platoon. I didn't ever need one very often, but damn when I did I needed one in the worst possible way. I know staffing these, and finding admins sucked, so respect for making it work so well with what you guys could. This was by no means gamebreaking.

2. On the note of admins, someone to hang out at each respawn would be cool. On sunday, i took a squad of guys to cut off a couple of spawns we suspected to be relatively unguarded. Turns out nobody was there. I was leary of switching flags, and there was no admin there. Either a better system for handling that should be in place, or a static admin for each place could help. But again, it's a real PITA to find admins, so I understand.

3. Safety Briefs: This is my biggest concern, but since i'm writing these stream of consciousness, it's number three, sue me. I got one of the more indepth safety briefs I've gotten when I arrived friday. Saturday this was not the case, and the reports from my guys were that the rules were told differently. This actually came up during gameplay when I was talking with JP, and something covered in my brief, JP had to check if it was actually in the brief at all. We had numerous issues regarding Minimum distances on rules, and I got conflicting reports on what the rules really were. Some would say twenty feet MED, some would say point blank was cool if it was semi-auto. Overall, I like the idea of the "briefs as you roll in" it works well, the game starts faster the next day because of it, but they need to be standardized to some extent. because damn that was annoying. This is the only one that really legitimately had me frustrated, because I didn't see a reason for why this had to be the case. This actually was the case last year as well, and it's kind of annoying when rules change lats minute.

4. Objective Briefs: This was not an issue saturday. By sunday, I was informed we'd done everything we had to do, and had no real direction except "find CoST, murder them" which is all well and good, but I paid a lot of money to lead some dudes to objectives and take them. I can get creative and fabricate some objectives to go hit, and I did, but a bit of direction sunday and some more official than "go find each other and shoot it out" would be cool. Maybe I was out of the loop here, I don't know.

5. To the guys who were playing with hicaps, unchronoed guns, and the guy who revved his engine and acted like he was gonna run over the poor kid trying to tap kill you, shame on you. Im not gonna rant on it more than that. The end.

That's the bad, now for the good:

1. Big Silva, JP, Frosty, anytime we had something going on in the field, you three seemed to be the ones I ran into to get it handled. Everytime, you guys said "no problem, we're on it." and a few minutes later, whatever the issue was it was taken care of.

2. Jet DesertFox, I've never been so glad that I watch as much airsoft on youtube as I do. When The UFS player with the bleeding cutup leg got dragged over to me, and I had to start calling for ceasefire, and blindman, and running around everywhere trying to get radio signal to holler for an EMT, I have never been so happy to see enemy players pop out of the woodline about to murder freaking everybody. If it had been my choice, the "sportsmanship award" that AMS gave out during the raffle would have been yours in a heartbeat. There was no hesitation at all when I said "Hey, are you an EMT?" and you simply go "Navy Corpsman, where do you need me?". Freaking Class Act. I about stripped off my multicam and jumped over to the CoST just to be alongside that kind of awesome. You sir, are very much so operator enough.

3. To the guy who had the bloody cut up leg, I'm glad your okay. I tried to find you later, but was getting pulled in a million directions, and someone finally filled me in on how you ended up. Sorry about your pants.

4. The CoST player who I stumbled upon, on Day 2 pushing from the wooded flanks of pegasus. We stood, fired, both missed, and you were the first one to say "should we just call ourselves out?". Freaking honorable. Shame you didn't have a squad of dudes to bandage you up right there and get on with it, but you sir are awesome.

5. CoST technical drivers: I hate every single one of you, and that's the highest compliment I can pay you. You guys were everywhere I didn't want you to be. you made this weekend freaking impossible. Man I need more rockets. But you guys were always cool whenever we managed to get the jump on you and put a grenade inside your vehicles. I Know I got at least three or four of you, and every time, you were honorable dudes about it.

6. Every one of you who called my super long distance shots. I run some pretty long range guns, and locally, I have a lot of issues with guys going "well, he's far away, he can't tell if he hit me" and just decide to shrug stuff. You guys were all cool about it. I only had one issue with a hit shrugging player all weekend. At a game this big, that's incredible. I saw some great sportsmanship on my side as well.

7. Everyone who put up with my best "Top" impression at the airfield while I was trying to get you out of the spawn: I know you guys had to be going "who is this A-hole trying to tell me what to do" but thanks for not being dicks. Thanks for giving 100%. Also thanks to everyone who didn't try to crowd around the minor medical situation we had to handle as well.

8. Lastly, Thanks to everyone in UFS Army, 3rd Platoon. My roughnecks had only rule, everyone fought, nobody quit. I didn't have to shoot any of you myself. You guys are the best bunch I've ever had the pleasure of leading at an event this year. I'd be honored to do it again next year, and Maybe the radios will work better.

on an almost final note: Our platoon flag was stolen, or otherwise removed from our campsite saturday night. I really hope that this was not the act of some jerk-faced CoST player who wanted to undermine the generally good feelings I have about most of you.

on the final note: I don't care: I walked away with a fat stack of JP bucks. Now I can quit my life of servitude in the UFS army and retire happily in Canada. They don't fight so much there...

That's Right, We're Pimpin.

Just kidding: Totally not quitting my UFS brothers. See you next year.

With more ammo.

Until Next year,

UFS Roughnecks, Charlie Platoon Leader Blackbird [and his magnificent battle beard] out!

Torch,

Communicating face to face is quicker and less prone to errors compared to via radio. When possible you're always better off not using a radio. As far as the final push goes, all our forces were in Caen, the only need for radio comms was so we could communicate with CDF. Because of this the CO took over the radio and let me have some trigger time.
