Operation: Rebel Yell is officially in the books.

We had picture perfect weather in Oklahoma right up until the day of the event; shocker, I know. The morning was rainy but cleared up by mid-morning.

Check-in and chrono went smoothly. UFS was placed into Gruber City to set up their defense. CDF forces started to the South of the city and CoST to the North of the city.

Keep in mind this is from my perspective, I couldn’t be in every place at once.

UFS forces had 15 minutes to set up inside the city before BeginEX was called. Walking through the complex, I was surprised by the lack of UFS forces I saw setting up on roof tops and upper story corner buildings. I saw a vast majority of forces in doorways and first level windows.

CDF and CoST forces slowly worked their way into the city complex from the North and South. CDF and CoST were able to link up and secure the local Gas Station and establish a Combat Outpost (COP). Once they had a foothold inside the city, they were able to expertly maneuver squads and coordinate attacks on key buildings. UFS put up a very stiff resistance, but as they lost their prime firing positions on the upper floors of the structures, CoST and CDF forces were able to quickly fill the white space and then dictate the tempo of battle.

It was a battle back and forth of taking buildings but CoST and CDF had a decisive advantage; not so much in bodies, but in coordination and squad cohesion. Everyone was working together, and moved at least at the fire team level.

I'd watch UFS Special Forces valiantly maneuver and overtake a CoST/CDF strong point only to be slowly chiseled down with no reinforcements to aid them. It was not the lack of heart or will, but communication and coordination on the squad level lacking from the UFS forces Saturday.

At lunch break CoST/CDF forces owned nearly 80% of the Gruber City Complex and maneuvered around the AO with near impunity.

After lunch it was a different story for the UFS, it seemed were reinvigorated. With knowledge that a high ranking UFS official had been captured by CoST forces they knew they "had" to recover.

UFS and CoST/CDF forces came out of the gate during the 2nd evolution with a crash! Both forces smashed heads at the Apartment and Hotel buildings trading blow for blow. But slowly the excellent coordination among the CoST and CDF forces proved again to be the deciding factor, as they began to exploit the gaps in the UFS's defensive lines and moved the UFS HVT from safe house to safe house.

When I thought all hope was lost for UFS, they again rallied back under the guidance of their commanding officer. They battled their way down the East side of the city clawing for every inch of territory gained and paying a high price. They had received intel on the location of their HVT and the UFS forces were closing in on the target building. With only moments left before the clock ran out, UFS's CO managed to reach the target building and as he prepared to breach the entry way... EndEX was called.

UFS forces were able to recover three of their four main caches.

CoST/CDF Forces were able to recover the reaming UFS cache along with their weapons and supply caches.

CoST/CDF forces were able to escort the UFS HVT from Gruber City and secure the area from UFS forces.

CoST/CDF forces were able to control Gruber City.

At the end of the day it the forces of the Coalition proved too much for the UFS forces to handle. Oklahoma has been stabilized and adopted into the Coalition as another terriroty.

Bolstered by the victory and aided by the information released by the interrogated of the captured UFS HVT the CoST forces ready to go on the offensive…

I’d like to thank everyone that made the event possible, mainly you the player. Without your guys continued support there would be no AMS!

Also like to thank our sponsors: Elite Force, Voodoo Tactical, Kastway Airsoft, HSGI, GCode, Zshot/Ares, Smith Optics, Kill Cliff, AirsoftEvent.com, Mystery Squad and TA Airsoft.

Also big thanks to our AMS Staff, EMT crew, MoDs and LARPs. Thanks to CTAC for filling the role of OPFOR all day long. Special thanks to out OKCAG and Edmond Admins that made the long drive to do work!

Operation: Faded Giant is right around the corner. I know it is expensive and a haul for most of our regular guys, but the AO is amazing and worth it.

Had a blast! DAM was awesome. Can't wait to see the video of myself blowing that door.

AT THE START OF THE OPERATION, MYSTERY SQUAD WAS TASKED WITH ASSISTING CDF IN TAKING CONTROL OF THE SCHOOL. TMAC LED US THROUGH THE WOODS TO THE WEST OF TOWN ON THE LONG MARCH FROM THE TRAIN STATION TO THE SOUTH END OF TOWN. WE RECEIVED LIGHT RESISTANCE, TWO OF US WERE WOUNDED, AND WERE QUICKLY BACK IN THE FIGHT DUE TO OUR SKILLED MEDIC, SPARTAN. WE CONTINUED TO MAKE OUR WAY TO OUR INSERTION POINT, AGAIN RECEIVING LIGHT RESISTANCE, BUT FOR THE MOST PART AVOIDING CONTACT WITH THE ENEMY.

UPON ARRIVING AT THE SCHOOL, THE CDF WAS ATTACKING FROM THE SOUTH SO WE MADE OUR WAY AROUND TO THE EAST TO FLANK. WE FOUGHT OUR WAY TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE OBJECTIVE, WHERE WE BEGAN RECEIVING HEAVY SMALL ARMS FIRE. WE FOUGHT OUR WAY TO THE BUILDING AND IN OUR LAST PUSH TO STACK ON THE BUILDING 5 OF OUR 6 SQUAD MEMBERS WERE TAKEN OUT, INCLUDING OUR MEDIC. NASE BEING THE LONE SURVIVOR, GOT INTO A GRENADE THROWING CONTEST WITH A COMBATANT IN A WINDOW ON THE 2ND FLOOR (IT WAS QUITE COMICAL).

WE RESPAWNED AS A SQUAD FROM THE SERVICE STATION AND SPENT THE NEXT 20 MINUTES RUNNING SUICIDE ASSAULTS ON DIFFERENT BUILDINGS. WE NEVER MADE IT, BUT MAN WAS IT FUN!

AT 1100 WE MET WITH FROSTY AND THE STAFF FROM HELLFIRE TO BEGIN THE 1ST DIRECT ACTION MISSION OF THE OP. WE WERE INFORMED BY 2 CIA OPERATIVES THAT THE OPFOR WAS HOLDING AN HVT AND NEEDED AN ESCORT TO GET HIM AND LOAD HIM ON A TRAIN THAT WAS LEAVING TOWN.

WE LOCATED THE TARGET BUILDING AND STACKED UP. I PLACED A C4 CHARGED ON THE DEADBOLT OF THE EXTERIOR DOOR AND BLEW THE LOCK. TMAC, DOZER, NASE, AND SPARTAN MADE ENTRY AS RED AND MYSELF TOOK SECURITY POSITIONS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING. WE STARTED TAKING FIRE FROM A CLUMP OF TREES AS THE REST OF THE SQUAD CLEARED THE BUILDING AND EXITED WITH THE HVT AND CIA OPERATIVES. WE BEGAN MAKING OUR WAY NORTH ON 24TH ST AT A STEADY PACE ALONG THE DITCH OF THE ROAD. WE TOOK LIGHT RESISTANCE TO THE INTERSECTION LEADING WEST TO THE TRAIN STATION. SEVERAL OF US, INCLUDING MYSELF, STARTED MAKING OUR WAY WHILE TMAC AND THE HVT TOOK COVER BEHIND SOME SHIPPING CONTAINERS NEARBY. TMAC HAD CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE AND HELP WAS ALREADY BEGINNING THEIR ASSAULT ON THE STATION. THAT'S WHEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! SEVERAL BOGIES WERE IN POSITION INSIDE THE TRAIN DEPOT, AND WE STARTED TAKING HEAVY FIRE FROM INSIDE THE BUILDING. SEVERAL MEMBERS OF OUR SQUAD WERE INJURED, BUT WITH HELP FROM OUR BACKUP, TMAC MANAGED TO GET THE HVT ON THE TRAIN.

OBJECTIVE COMPLETE!

AFTER A SHORT REST TO NURISH, HYDRATE, AND RELOAD, WE WERE BACK IN THE FIGHT. WE STARTED MAKING OUR WAY BACK INTO TOWN, WHEN WE WALKED UP ON THE FLANK OF A LARGE ENEMY FORCE ENGAGING ANOTHER CoST SQUAD. TURNED OUT THAT THEY WERE ESCORTING ANOTHER HVT TO BOARD THE SAME TRAIN, SO WE BACKED THEM UP AND ASSISTED THEM IN COMPLETING THEIR OBJECTIVE AS WELL.

CEASE FIRE.

WHEN FIGHTING RESUMED, WE WERE ORDERED TO LOCATE ANOTHER HVT. WE SENT NASE, RED, AND SPARTAN INTO THE SEWER TUNNELS TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE BUILDING WE WERE TOLD THE HVT WOULD BE, WHILE TMAC, DOZER AND MYSELF TRIED REACHING THE TARGET FROM ABOVE GROUND. TEAM MAKO ENDED UP SECURING THE HVT, AND BEGAN MAKING THEIR WAY THROUGH THE TUNNELS TO THE TO WHERE THEY WERE TO HOLD HIM. MAKO WAS CALLED CALLED UP FOR A DAM AND OUR TEAM IN THE TUNNELS TOOK POSSESSION OF THE HOSTAGE. THEY MADE THERE WAY TO THE TOWNHOUSE (2403 MAIN ST) WHILE WE SECURED THE BUILDING. WHEN THEY ARRIVED WE MOVED THE HVT UPSTAIRS TO A SMALL ROOM, AND WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF CDF (ETERNAL SOLDIERS), WE HELD THE BUILDING. WE WERE THEN TASKED WITH MOVING THE HVT TO ANOTHER LOCATION. WE MADE OUR WAY THERE WITHOUT A PROBLEM. WE THEN HELD THE BUILDING WHILE BEING ATTACKED FROM EVERY DIRECTION. ETERNAL SOLDIERS DID A GREAT JOB HELPING US HOLD THE HVT.

CEASE FIRE!

THE NIGHT GAME WAS PRETTY MUCH A SHOOTOUT. ETERNAL SOLDIERS POSTED UP IN AND ON TOP OF THE SCHOOL AND MYSTERY SQUAD, MISFITS, A 6 OTHERS TRIED TO TAKE IT AND CAPTURE ANOTHER HVT. IT WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE THAT BUILDING, BUT WE DID MANAGE TO FIND THE HVT IN A SCHOOLBUS OUTSIDE. WHILE TRYING TO EXFIL, THE HVT AND MOST OF OUR SQUAD WAS KILLED.

GAME OFF.

There was one part where i really got to be a medic...one of the CoST guys fell into something and i helped dig gravel out of his arm

I'll probably edit this as the day progresses, but for now, this is my AAR.

Let me first start by saying, this OP was going to make or break my airsoft career. Over the recent months after Broken Home, I just hadn't been having a good time playing airsoft. I decided to give it one last shot, and try a different role other than a shooter. So, I drove myself to a thrift store, and picked myself up a nice hawaiian shirt, for my role as a HVT. Yep, I was that guy.

We got to the camp around 7:30ish, pulled our gear out, and went to registration. Registration went quickly and efficiently, and the same can be said for chrono. Great job with that.

After I met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while, (shout out to the Outlaws) we all meandered over to the check in area, and waited for briefing. The safety briefing was quick, and wasn't arduous to sit through. After that, I met up with JP, was told to head into the city and find the other HVT, and wait for the game to start.

Once the game started, we wandered around the city, not drawing attention to ourselves (outside of the attention my shirt was already drawing) and waiting to see if and when we would be found/captured. About 10 minutes went by, before we were stopped by some gentlemen in multicam. Unaware that there were two HVT's, they grabbed my buddy, and pulled him away. I turned in another direction and started walking away, but was quickly found 5 minutes later. We were held in the tan FOB for a little while, managing to escape once. Shortly after our escape(I was stopped by Top before I could even leave our holding area) we were told that we were free to go. For the next couple of hours until lunch, I walked around the field looking at the explosives, and attempting to find the rest of my team.

After lunch was when things got really exciting. I was placed with mako as their HVT/hostage, and was told that they would be escorting me from building to building. Quickly, flex cuffs were put on me, and a sentry was posted with me, making escape near impossible. We made it from building to building quickly, when the resistance was put down. We then crawled through the sewers for what seemed to be at least half an hour. After mako was called for their DAM, I was placed in the charge of the team who were in ATACS FG. If mako didn't want me to get away, these guys REALLY didn't want me to get away. T mac? I believe was the gentleman who was "escorting" me to my holding area. Grabbing the flex cuffs firmly, I was led back through the sewers, and placed into a room that I can only describe as the equivalent as a porta potty for birds. After about an hour or so of waiting in there, and hearing fire fights going on around the building, I was taken to a smaller building, where I was held for the rest of the game.

Unfortunately I had to leave right before the raffle, so I didn't get to see the night game. However, if it was like anything I saw during the day, it was great.

The OP was great, and the role I was given was awesome. It pumped me up to get to see all of these firefights happening around me, without taking place in them. I had a second wind taken in for the game, and won't be quitting any time soon. From what I could tell, the op went great! Even though guarding me in a room maybe wasn't what some people might consider fun, I tried to keep the guys on their toes by moving towards the windows, and signalling whoever was outside with the cuffs and my hat. Breaking away and running probably would have been more interesting for my captors, but having a guy standing three feet from me with a pistol pointed at my chest just wasn't something I wanted to tempt.

All in all, it was a great day. I can't wait for the next game, and I know whatever role I play will be a great one, as these AMS guys never disappoint.

Individual AAR (TweakRanger-BlackoutMilitia_ Texas –Tan UFS 3rd Squad.

TweakRanger here! I can only report on what I saw.

Guys without a doubt I had so much fun at this Event. The staff literally handled so many issues that could have gone different ways. The one thing I love about these events is that for the most part it draws “Operators†for both sides. An Operator is a controlled Airsoft Soldier that no matter what happens on the field… they keep it on the field and when they are off the field they act accordingly.

The Staff was great, the pyro was great… Loud artillery pops all over the place. It would have been great to have PA sounds of actual live fire that was the only thing I was expecting. I loved how the admin staff would randomly walk around with smokes and literally create a FOG of WAR… when you saw this you knew the fit was about to hit the shan! So a big Thank you from TEXAS. We had about a 5.5 Hour drive which wasn’t too bad. We came in on FRIDAY, grabbed a motel room and started the day out around 0700. We got on base fairly easy, easy access on base once we got past the security, and then a nice drive into AO Parking area. It was drizzling all throughout the morning, and was just a little bit of mud.

Check in was easy and chrono was good. Only my backup weapon chrono’d 420 for some reason, which that was ok, Staff NO Go’d it which was great to see because it’s about safety and I got more weapons to field. Only a few got in a little over 400 which that have to be expected with the way the airsoft world is going in higher powered stock rifles lately. I basically had a few load outs so I was ready to go.

I was tasked with 3rd Squad UFS as a Medic. We were the smallest squad without a SL, which Lancer took when it needed to be filled. Guys SL and commanding is tough. It’s hard to have a fun time at these events when you are tasked with having to lead. It sucks sometimes and that’s why it’s so hard to get SL on the fly, especially if they are inheriting it. So props to Lancer! Daniel was our EOD (Zerohawk) from AirsoftEvent.com the rest were all riflemen. I only took Medic because we needed one, Last time I played a Medic in 2008 I fell off a cliff at Quarry Creek and broke a hip. I got better. I think I healed 40 or 50 at this game , and I tell you dodging bb’s and trying to fight is a chore, sometimes if you need support you gotta do both, it’s about getting to your guy reviving him and killing everything else in your path!

Top was commanding and I just want to say THANK YOU. I think sometimes we think TOP can take a field and just say it and make it so. Today we were fighting very Elite Operators on the green side. I mean I was very impressed with the operators, and literally it made me want to push and fight, even when I was leading a charge. My guys had to literally hold me back several times and say Tweak you’re the Medic get behind us… not my strong point.

The adrenaline flowed all day long, I was dodging sniper fire sprinting 200 yards here and there trying to get to wounded, leading pushes at the Fuel depot, using a single tree to hide behind, learning to roll as a controlled retreat, becoming one with rubble and learning to fly … not really land, I tried a combat roll off a 4 foot drop which I think if TOP described it might be more of a retarded monkey flop, but it did the job and my patient got healed. I twisted my knee there, but just used my kneepad as a field compression making it tighter. Sucking it up and moving on.

I took a bang to the face rather than an AEG from two inches, and then watched the same guys accidentally detonate their tornado grenade as a boomerang, that was priceless and was fun to watch.

I went with my brother Warthog who was 11 years Army… we lost him early on and after a few hours realized we tasked him as over watch on top of a building… As Military you never leave your post until relived… he was up there till he ran out of ammo, but he said he got some serious trigger time.

It wasn’t all Christmas!

The way that COMBAT Efficient Squad Respawn was in the rules I think over all ended all charges we initiated. IE you could not respawn till your SL was there to pick you up. What this caused was chaos when you had Green Squads camping the respawn, which via the rules was legal because it could be taken. All day long our Spawns were taken. I don’t see this as bad; Green took a part of the rules and used it as an advantage. Most of the time we lost almost 2/3 of our squad trying to just exit the spawn. Then our missions were down to 2-3 operators that survived, and the only way any missions got accomplished was if the entire squad made it out. Several times I had to Relocate and FIND the new spawn because I had no clue where it was, I spent more time walking to the new spawn because there was 20 green in the spawn owning it. I am not bitching just saying that after a while I started to think this was greens mission was just to disrupt the spawn system. It was very effective and just deteriorated the morale within the TAN side. I think the Staff realized the clusterf*ck this was causing because they started to magically repawn us in different spots , so we spent time trying to retake our spawns , and that became our mission, then 5 minutes later we would be pushed out of the spawn again. Now we are professionals and you could tell the ones giving up and the ones trying to motivate and push out of the mud. We did not quit and continue to fight till the end, even though most of us knew victory was far from the grasp of TAN. I personally just was having fun with it, I don’t mind getting shot. I came to play. I think one of the Admins was trying to get some of the tan motivated on a hillside temp respawn near the fuel depot at one point. One other rule that was in effect is you could ONLY reload when you’re dead. Well for some of us we had to run to the respawn, catch our breath drink, reload and still continue to push. I went into many a fight with 2 mags midcap full 8 dry and most times not knowing if I could sustain, just because we had no time to move. Now we had a lot of guys who were falling out sitting down, basically dying. I get that don’t push your limits. You only know them, but next time, if you are dying over and over, GTFO the field, go rest water up etc etc. Don’t lie down on the field and just look beat down. Get off the field so at least you can remover your goggles and vest water up properly and then take the field again when you’re ready to fight. I made trips off and on the field all day, and even dawning the only two weapons I had left Shotgun and xdm and taking the field even while lots of tan sat around re hydrating and getting reset… Makes the rest of us have to pull your weight, I don’t mind but I am 36 years old running around like a 20 year old again. I broke two weapons and ended up running with a shotgun and an XDM as a medic. Its milsim you should be in SOME shape to do this if you’re going to put out the bucks to do this, don’t let down your fellow teammates. It’s your money your game I get that but I saw lets of “Heroics†from TAN doing crazy things as individuals and small groups, and only a few pushes were balls were to the wall, and those Operators were the ones leading them. Yes I was there being a part of most of them. Lots of pushes were folks didn’t spread and acquire targets and move on positions as squads. We had a few really nice charges at the fuel depot and one after lunch on the hotel that was just sweet. Everyone doing the right things verses much greater numbers. We spent the day getting our asses kicked and I loved every minute of it. I even took out 12 guys with a pistol on a squad stack out a murder hole; accidently disrupted the DAM (Retrieval mission) Sorry about that admins! I saw GREEN guys gathered and came around a building with AEGS Pointed at me, I took out three and was given a 21 gun salute to the backside , which was kind of cool, and later was told “its ok Tweak , they should a been watching that cornerâ€. Probably should have made those missions during breaks of the actual combat so the two groups didn’t mesh with each other to destroy those guys fun, even though I thought my involvement might have made it a better time for them. I loved it anyways.

Raffle was great I love when NEW guys win raffles, definitely helps to spread the word of great events! I don’t really go for the raffles; I just think they are cool to have so you get a chance at winning. I am sure TAN did not win, however it was a blast and I had so much fun taken on REALLY SET Operators, it’s a win for me just to play. I even ran the Sewer gauntlet even though I didn’t survive it (HAHA) At least I made the day of the guys at the end who cheered for a kill … then lit me up again after I walked all the way down there supposedly on a ceasefire dead man walk… I guess he got excited and wanted to relive it again. Haha.

GREEN – GREAT OPFOR I really enjoyed it.

TAN - You guys did well and those of you who I ran into in sporadic squads who kept fighting and pushed even when the tank was empty or the mags were dry much love from me!

Great day and honor to share the field of battle!

TOP, The honor was mine as Always, Love rolling under your guidance and resolve.

TY AMERICAN MILSIM and ALL SPONSORS!

What a great time the first few hours were. After that my body begin to shut down, I am in such terrible shape. The AO was AWESOME, sitting up in buildings shooting at people was a blast, at first I did well staying with my squad but after awhile I was just too tired to keep up with them, so sorry about that guys, i was not a very effective teammate.

I ended up involved in one of the DAM missions (tan CO and beaver saw them and told some of us to run and intercept so I did), ran all the way from the town to the trains and got to see two of the DAM teams going at it, that was really cool.

Got a few kills but mostly got my ass handed to me, still had a great time though, met and talked with some great people and saw some old friends, I would have interacted more but seriously I was in bad shape, it was all I could do to keep standing up there at the dinner break.

Great weather, awesome AO, and lots of great people, it was a good day and well worth the price, thanks to AMS for the great event.

Oh yeah, sorry again for my friendly fire kill, I never got your name, I felt like a real idiot! Chalk it up to me being super tired and out of shape, not thinking. I am going to start working out again, these events will be so much more fun if I can go longer than two hours.

I'm not real good with AAR's but it was a blast. Any time there was a issues the admins were swift to take care of the issues. It was our first op as a team and certainly found alot of faults that are going to be addressed but overall probably the best experience that we could have gotten. I had alot of gun issues thought the day. Naturally anything that could go wrong went wrong in my case but I still had a blast. Can't wait for the next one.

Edit: Also one thing i would like to see a rule set amended to state that dead players must place their dead rag on their head. I don't know how many times i saw players holding their dead rags in their hands and then get mad when they continued to be shot. It'll lead to one less thing a player needs to guess on and one less thing admins have to deal with when a dead player gets mad cause someone shot him after he was dead.

my .02 cents

COST

2nd Plt 2nd Squad

aka

Misfits

At the start of the day misfits groped at the cost insertion point. From there Rocketman gave us orders to follow 1-2 in capturing the Gas Station and then proceed to take the apartments via under ground sewers. 1-2, and 2-2 followed the train tracks until we reached a dense wooded area and heard a nice little fire fight between 1-2 and UFS forces. 2-2 then proceeded to double back and flank from UFS left side, Misfit 1, Donut, and Mordicai let the assault and took out 3 UFS stranglers and pulled enough attention to them to allow 1-2 to take the COP. With Misfit 1, donut, and mordecai down the rest of misfits were still combat effective and followed 1-2 and assited ROCKETMAN with combat operations and secure our COP/FOB. Misfit 1, Donut and mordecai then re spawned and followed the trail up and met up with OUTLAWS who were about to push on the Rubble town houses but were pinned from fire from the mouse holes on the side of the buildings. while thre rest of misfits were in the courtyard heling secure the FOB, misfit 1, donut and mordecai offered to distract UFS inside the building long enough for OUTLAWS the make an assault on the rubble townhouse. SUCCESS. we were all hit and proceeded to bleed and and re spawn at our FOB. While Resting and reloading at the FOB the rest of misfits regrouped at the fob, we were then a whole squad again. From this point we proceeded to take building after building and making sure UFS forces were not trying to flank. Through out there period we were alos trying to find a good way into the sewer system. Success. 4 out of the seven misfits proceeded with another cost force into the sewers where we popped out of the basement of the apartment complex and then engaged in cqb combat with occupying ufs forces. misfits were at the head of the assault so most of us were wiped out and headed back to FOB. Regrouping once everyone died and re spawned we then made our assault on the HOTEL. metal/tin building across the hotel is where we were to make our assault, unfortunately UFS had our AOA covered, we quickly revised our plan and decided to flank from the south west corner and file in while other COST and CDF forces engaged on our right flank. We stacked up behind a tree line waited for the right moment. Misfit 1 led the charge and arrived at the building first, the Donut and spike and the other followed suit. Misfit ambushed a squad of tan eliminating them from the battle for the hotel. misfit the held of ufs stragglers trying to enter the building. UFS got wise that there was a cost squad near there FOB and sent 2 squads and misfits were overwhelmed. Donut and spike were safety killed, and Misfit 1 and UFS tango called parlay.. Misfit sprinted back to a tree line (busting face operator style) and got back and engaged the UFS squad Head one. *in doing so misfit 1 was awarded and outstanding operator mag from BigLar* misfit 1 then was hit making the squad 70% casulatiys and we were forced to respawn as a squad. Once Misfits Respawned we headed right back to the hotel, COST forces had cleared the hotel while we respawned. The Cost Force that was inside was receiving Friendly Fire and had no radio contact with ROCKETMAN so misfit 1 climbed to the top of the hotel and yelled cost has hotel, the rest of misfits filed in and held the hotel for the remainder of the the period. Whislt doing so misfit 1 was hit and ran out of ammo assaulting UFS forces in the rubble town house as another member of COST and DONUT were ontop spotting and calling out targets. Misfit the headed back to respawn where he was briefed on weapons caches. while the remainder of misfits held the hotel with other cost forces misfit began searching the secure buildings for the weapons caches. by doing so was almost killed by friendly forces but found the first cache box for COST and brought it back the FOB While searching the next building Game was called for Lunch Break.

Start of 2nd Revolution

Cost Forces started at the Heli pad located next to the latrine. Squad 1-3 and 2-2 were tasked in taking the left side of the road and engage UFS forces. 1-3, and 2-2 pushed to the start of the city and encountered heavy UFS resistance, UFS forces were trying to flank from the tree line but ARA and MISFITS held them off for quite a bit with out reinforcements. Misfits then posted up and the tin building hiding in the tree line and under various structures and terrain setting up ambush points. Dutchman was posted up in the open to drag fire from UFS forces in doing so misfits started racking up kills and holding the left side of the tree line. After a heated exchange of bbs most of misfits were hit and became combat ineffective and proceeded to respawn at FOB. From here we debriefed and headed to do weapons cache sweeps in all of the buildings. we then leap frogged building to building until we found a weapons cache DONUT and WOLFEN were Misfit 1 escort while he transported the caches back to FOB/COP We did then all the way until we were on the outer perimeter and near UFS fob. Frosty then let us know we were in the area of a DAM mission so we pulled back but in doing so found ourselves in the midst of an amazing fire fight with UFS building to building, rooftop to street. this consumed almost and hour or two of time once again we took 70% casualties and respawned at the Insertion point because FOB became under fire. We then Decided to bring the Weapons caches back From the FOB to the New COP beside the helipad. from there Gunslinger and Dutchman Hung back wil the rest of MIsfits began to do another weapons cache sweep. we picked up a member of OCKAG and another member of COST and they rolled with us while doing the building sweeps. we then posted up in a building were COST forces were heavy next the the HOTEL. We tried to take the hotel again. in doing so we had eyes on dutchamn and gunslinger assaulting the rubble town house. Misfit 1 and Donut along with the other two COST members the entered the main floor of the hotel and met UFS forces head on Misfit 1 and donut both were safety killed but taking a few cost with them. the other Cost members hung back and once UFS dead were out one the the guys threw and impact grenade into a wall trying to bounce it.. but blew himself and his buddy up. (funny as hell) we were then told by jp to go ahead and ago respawn so we walked back. and Spike was there. were wanted to take the hotel again so we took the scenic route and then got eyes on TOP, UFS COMMANDER.. we waited and watched and radios UFS movements to COST command. Then our potions was compromised by a DAM mission taking and HVT to the train Tracks... we followed those guys until we reached the outer sewer entrance... Misfit 1 took point and the rest followed suit.. its was an interesting exp. while being sewer rats UFS forces were in the tunnels as well Misfit 1 was far ahead of the others and listened to UFS forces game plan all was dark no lights, not radio communication. other COST forces were then trying to make there way to the Apartment Entersections and wiped out UFS forces in the tunnels, while UFS was taking fire Misfit 1 and the rest continued to push closer and closwer hoping to safety kill UFS forces remaining. Once UFS left misfit one finally came to the man hole entrance next to the rubble town homes. met up with the other COST forces and decided to engage UFS head on with TWO squads. misfit 1 then proceeded to pop open the man hole cover to see what he was facing.. (lets just say i opened it with a pistol in my hand.. and asked for my rifle PRONTO) misfit one then popped out of the man hole chest high and started engaging UFS forces and took out two.. and then sat up and had an epic exchange with another UFS person, this happend infront of diesel and the medic of AMS (Misfit 1 was awarded another outstanding operator mag) UFS forces killed misfit 1 outside of the man hole so he continued to bleed out and next came out some other guys and UFS engaged them and took them out. For some reason UFS didnt engage the rest of the COST guys coming out and one COST member still alive assited misfit 1 pulling out the cost members the dead were then dragged to a wall inside the rubble townhouse and medic back in to the game. We then pushed to the UFS FOB and right as were were about to capture the two remaining Weapons Caches and overrun the Fob the Game was called.

Start of Night Game

The Scenario of the night game was basically a huge DAM mission assult a building where a hostage containing Intel and Intel on another hostage secure and extract both hostages. Eternal solider were defending and Mystery Squad and Misfits and a few other guys were attacking Misfit 1 did not play this this but instead was hostage number two in civi cloths. jp was the hostage held inside the building. the attacking forces were to assault overrun and sweep the building that jp was in accuire Intel and extract him out. This part was successful but in the end Both Hostages were killed by defending force in extraction. but was fun for the most part.

Lol... That was me on that last part, I saw you pop that man hole cover up out of the corner of my Eye, tossed my shotgun , last mag into the XDM , and I flanked right... you engaged the other two in my team and I came around the corner full speed and ran it till I was empty... I am sure we both hit each other at the same time, but really did seem to take on a SLOW MO Matrix effect, was complete Awesome! ... Thank you for that last fight.

Howboy summed up our mission pretty well so I will just give some highlights-

  1. Direct Action Mission- Was great and very demanding will definitely be doing this again
  2. HVT- Dealing with Teeth AKA Curtis as a LARP was fun good job man!
  3. Check-in- AMS did an awesome job of reworking the check-in and it was very smooth
  4. Admin- I know there can’t be an admin everywhere all the time but I didn’t see any standing around, they were all very accessible and helpful.

Good Job AMS can’t wait to hit the field with you guy’s again!

This is Psycho from Arkansas Recon Airsoft (ARA). I want to thank the AMS and everyone else involved for putting on an awesome event!!!! Our little small sqaud of five had a blast. To agree with the Tan forces on playing musical spawn points green did that too. It kept things interesting that's for sure. I got to meet and play with some really great folks on both sides that I hope to meet in the field again. I think my favorite moment of the entire day was when our little sqaud entered the office complex cleared it, proceeded into the sewer tunnels into the apartment complex and cleared that entire building also without firing one shot. We also got to provide support one one DAM mission by accident and we got drafted into another DAM mission to provide support also. That was a blast!! I was medic for my sqaud so I got to heal some of the actors and players in those missions. A gigantic thanks for allowing us to help where needed. I also won one of the entries for Operation Helium Project. It was a awesome day!!! Thanks again guys!!!!

This was the final firefight that I was involved with. I was the one standing on the corner of the building shooting into the group that looked like a bunch of ants coming out of their dirt mound. I killed as many as i could before my battery died.In all honesty I wanted at that exact moment to empty a mag of bbs into my hand and throw them. After 3 batteries and over 7,000 bbs,I can say that I had a blast. As I stood there with my dead rag on my head and saw the 3 green uniformed soldiers standing there BEGGING the admin for just 5 more minutes,I felt that feeling of COMPLETE FULFILMENT from an airsoft event. I would say count me in for the next AMS game but,My VA DISABILTY pay just wont allow me to make it to the next one. Sorry guys

Well put bro.Well put!!!!

Had a blast clearing the hotel with Machete and another cool dude I can't identify. RIP: 13 year old kid on the stairs.

Green steamrolled tan (2:1 ratio) and the game got pretty repetitive in the afternoon, but it was a fun morning for sure. I'm bummed our DAM ended 12 feet from the front door since tan had surrounded it as soon as we got inside, but emphasis was obviously on the breach and not on dragging the EPW for hundreds of yards through a gauntlet.

Op. Rebel Yell/After Action Report.

The day started off a little rough. 1-3 was tasked with taking the rubble town house. We linked up with 2-1 (Outlaws) as to launch a two front attack off the start. The town house proved to be a strong hold for the UFS. They had a few skilled snipers with range that dampened attacks. Trice they held and forced us to rethink our attack plan. We then moved west in to the tree line that paralleled the tracks and worked our way to the gas station(FOB). We launch form there and tried to lend a hand where ever needed. Though out the morning our contact with command rapidly declined to the point of no contact. C.O. was M.I.A for sometime hampering our abilities to stay on mission or give support where needed. We moved very well as squad from building to building, clearing rooms and eliminating players as we crossed them.

At this point it was as if we had come to a stalemate of sorts. UFS was in beded in the northern part of the city and COST was working from the south. Our squad came together and decided to attack the apartment building from the tunnels. Working our way to the tunnels and then though them emerging from the tunnels in the basement of the apartment. Stringer and myself did a very quick and silent clear of the basement. We all stacked on the stairs leading to the first floor. We safety killed one tan on the first floor over watching the door, then another as he walked down the steps to the first floor. Truegrit and Smiley safety killed two more as they tried to enter the front door, unaware we had full control of it before entering. We then stacked and headed to the second floor. I parlayed with one and was forced to head to respond. Stinger took over point and with psycho as over watch safety killed 4 to 5 tan on the second floor. The team moved though the rest of the building safety killing all in there path, and with out firing a single shot they killed roughly 15 tan and took control of the apartment. The rest of the day went by fast, as we got caught up in not one DAM mission but two. By the end of the day I was very happy with 1-3.

Over all:

Pros:

Great AO

great team work in our squad

Lot of Trigger time

Admin did a great job when call apon

Tan team put up a hell of a fight

Cons:

Lack of or No Command

Spawn camping on both sides

Spawn points changing on both sides without any communication from command or Admin.

Dam missions going during normal game play, confusing if you dont know what is happening

No vendors

Final:

This was a good Op. many skilled operaters on both sides. AMS did a hell of job putting this together. There are just some things that are out of there control. ARA did a great job with a very small squad. We accomplished almost all the objectives we went after and gave support when needed. Thank you to the tan guys that stayed in the fight, to AMS for putting on a great Op. and to the guys on my squad.

Well, First off, I want to thank AMS for bringing us another opportunity to play at this great AO. I truly love this place. Can't wait for the next opportunity to do it again.

CoST started out the day at the train station. I gave all my squad leaders their initial orders and we all moved out at game on. Tan put up good resistance in a few of the buildings but we were able to take our FOB fairly quickly. From that point, we moved out and were able to take most of the town after a few good fire fights here and there. I lost comms with most of the squads at that point. No idea why. I had two radios programmed and was still not able to raise anyone for most of the day. My radios were working fine because I checked quite a bit with people I would come in contact with. Very frustrating. I had little to no contact with most of the squads throughout the day. It makes it difficult to plan and coordinate anything without comms. However, the squads stepped up and did what they needed to do to get the job done. All in all, I felt like it was a very successful day for CoST.

One story I have to share:

Later in the second EVO, my son, Bug, was doing what he does best, cause turmoil, had himself a plan. Tan had the hotel with about ten or twelve guys on the roof. So Bug takes off walking down the street just as casual as you please and walks right into the hotel. Makes his way to the roof and walks over to the edge and waves down at me and my other son in the street. He then proceeds to safety kill about seven guys before he gets killed himself. My question is what were those tan guys thinking? He said several of them saw him up there but did not even bother with him until he started killing some of them.

He used this same casual walk to walk up the street and sit down in tan territory and take out several tan as they staged up to try to make an assault towards green. This earned him an Operator Mag from one of the Admins. I guess some people only shoot you if you look aggressive. He was also able to walk up to Top who had several tan around him without any problem. Unfortunately, Top was already out at that point and talking to an admin.

Conclusions:

One thing that I have got to do for the next time I am CO is have a standing plan in place in case we do lose comms. I realize that some of you felt like there was no command but I certainly was there. I apologize for that. I know it is frustrating for the squad leaders to not have any direction. It is frustrating for me to not know the status of the squads.

I also think that the DAM missions were a bit distracting during normal play. I think that a few of my squads were off doing those while I was trying to contact them. Wasn't crazy about the fact that a squad would just be pulled out to go do that and leave the position they were holding without replacements or letting me know so that I could get some replacements for them.

Anyway, good job guys. As always, it was fun and can't wait to do it again.

Rocketman out.

AAR

Tan held town while green attacked.

Sutstains -

  • Alot of BBs got fired and it was a blast.
  • The fact that a prep time for tan forces was nice.
  • explosions pyro and sfx was a sweet add on to the game modes.
  • the amount of smoke used this year was right on. smoke the whole place.

Improves -

  • Game became way to repetitive.
  • DAM missions were awesome but clearly in way of the full game going on. Was very unclear of the ROE with DAM missions.
  • I've noticed this for awhile. Ops are getting to out of hand. trying to do way to much. military saying keep it simple stupid. (no one is stupid just referring to the phrase) These game modes just went on and on. keep it basic that way people will understand it and it will function more as a milsim set up.
  • Admins needed to pay more attention to the no hit calling aspect. Several times i heard both sides yelling about it and saw no fixing going on. there were a few times that yes admins helped but not nearly enough.

Recommendations -

  • Simple game modes, such as search and destroy. one team aquires 2 bombs and has to destroy two locations on field
  • Domination. team has to take and find a specific building and hold it. This will cut out all the building to building stand offs.
  • medics can revive in a building
  • allow teams to call for fire. I.E admin with a thunderB

This game was a blast. this is just a compilation of people ive talked to and their thoughts on stuff.

GOOD JOB AMS looking forward to the next

Thank goodness we lucked out on the weather just like at Bright Rain previously this year and there was little to no rain after the OP started. It was great getting to see most of our freinds from other teams show up to the OP like MAKO, the Regulators, and the recently formed ARDA. I was disapointed to hear at the last minute that Nasty couldn't attend due to being sick along with all the other D9 members that weren't able to attend for whatever reason. This left D9 with only 3 in attendance. Thankfully we were able to join up with one of my buddies from CG18, Machette and was was left of his team, Bad Company.

To start the OP off, Cost was sent about 100yds north of the main MOUT site and was set to invade the town after giving UFS a 20min head start to get a good foot hold in the town. Squad 1-2 (us) was sent far east into the tree line and head due south until we were in line with the fuel station to gain an FOB inside the town. While Mystery Squad was attacking the middle of the west side of the town, squad 1-2 and the Regulator Squad from CDF swung in and easily took the service station. From there we moved to building 2401 which was relatively unoccupied so we took that very easily. From there we moved north continuing on the west side of the town taking 2404, again relatively effortlessly. The next building in line was 2409 but unlike all the other we had come across so far, this one was heavily populated with UFS. After a short time we started getting choked up in 2404 with not many to have the balls enough to make a run for 2409 until our friends from the Regulators and MAKO showed up. We had our support gunners lay fire down on the 'murder holes' and made a break for it. We ended up all getting shot, but it was better than sitting there.

After this initial attack by CoST and CDF, the UFS pretty much fell apart. They never watched their 6 and most squads would not work together and some squads even fell apart upon moving to any other point weather it be for defense or attack. CoST and CDF pretty much had most of the town ater just a little bit, but 2409 was still heavily occupied so Coffee, Trojan, and myself made a move through the tunnels from 2304 to 2309. Upon finally getting to the entrance at 2309 we found that the entrance was blocked with a couple old washing machines with a Tornado Impact grenade in between them set to fall to the ground and detonate if the obstructions were moved. Coffee simply grabbed the grenade and haded it back to me then moved the obstructions and moved into the basement. Upon moving up to the staircase a couple UFS started coming down the stairs so we set up on either side of the walls. I threw their grenade back at them but somehow didn't hit anyone so I ran across the opening and took one down with my pistol but I was hit too. The other two that were with me moved up later and took out a few more. While this was going on a big push was made by CoST and CDF on the northwest and pretty much wiped out UFS from that area of the town. After forming back up and making another push or two we (CoST and CDF) were told by the admins to reset to the south of the town. We found out later this was due to not having another MOUT site availible to push the UFS to, so we had to make due with what we had. CoST and CDF were able to do this again and again over the coarse of the day.

D9 got to assist the Regulators in their DAM mission in escorting their prisoner to our FOB who we then had to release but pulled a push dagger on us and tried to stab us with it. I believe he got one or two of us but when he tried to get me, out of a reflex action I shot him at point blank. I felt bad about that, but hey, it was him or me. Later on during one of CoSTs pushes to take the town yet again, MAKO was moving past me for their DAM mission, so I helped them out as best I could. Later UFS tried to make a push on the west much like CoST did at the start of the OP. D9 quickly moved to stop this. Come to find out it was mostly AMS staff. Bash got to shoot Croaker right in the back of the head and I got Pitt. ARDA requested that D9 participate in their DAM mission and after approval we served as their backup. Most of D9 were taken down upon getting the HVT.

At the end of the day portion of the OP Bash and I were requested to tag along in another DAM mission. This one was a special DAM mission set up for all the Colorado guys that served as primary OPFOR for all the DAM operators. M7 instructed us that since these guys had basically been ruining everyone else's day all day, we were gonna ruin theirs. It was a total turkey shoot, but the Colorado guys handled it in stride and then came up with the idea to hit 'Bo' and another that were waiting at the train station. We all took off in a run and took them both out after they ran into the tree line. After this, all D9 and most of everyone else were too spent to run the night OP.

Overall I had a blast! I don't think I've ran so much in a long time. My legs are actually still quite sore. All day D9 was hearing of UFS being amazing and aggervated by our vastly superior range (due to rhop). We (again) had an amazing time running with our friends Dirtpro and Grendel from the Regulators as well as members of MAKO. Thanks to ARDA for allowing us to participate in their DAM mission! Thanks to Frosty for selecting Bash and myself for the post-OP DAM mission! Thanks to AMS for putting on the OP! We look forwar, as usual, to attending future AMS events!

First off would like to thank AMS for hosting this event at the awesome AO. Looks like everyone is hitting on the spots of the game so I will just say it was a nice fire fight.

PRO's:

*Awesome AO

*Admins did a 100% better job than at Broken Home. They were more into the areas of fighting, still some issues but no matter how many admins you have you will never be able to catch all issues. It's a game of honor so shouldn't have to have many admins in the first place.

*Enjoyed the smoke and explosion effects.

*Nice raffle.

*Registration went a little smoother and faster.

*Nice weather for a milsim game.

CON's:

*DAM caused a lot of confusion, more less due to where it was located. We were constantly told "Don't shoot them" yet when we stood up to watch them they would light us up. If a DAM is going to be an out of play mission then it should be off the field of play in my opinion.

*AO has a lot of potential as far as objective based games....should have used it that way.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

*At registration, clear out all staff that are not helping with registration. To much BS'ing was going on and players not receiving their swag.

*More objective based games than skirmishes, especially if your going to charge high entry prices. We all can shoot the piss out of each other every weekend at fields across the US.

*Night games should not consist of admins huddling together and being extremely loud and shinning lights across the AO to give out positions. It defeats the purpose of having night vision at your games or even trying to be stealthy.

*AMS, your admins are going to have to step on toes or else your games are going to be ruined. To much trash talking, wanting to fight, etc... Talk to the player if he/she keeps it up send them packing. It's to the point after 2 events your going to have to make a believer out of someone or it's just going to get worst at the more events you host. If you do this will you be trash talked about? Yes, but you will have more support for doing so than not.

*Have ladders readily available for us old people who can't quit make it up on the roofs...haha

All in all I had a great time and enjoyed the nice weather. Wished more would have stayed around for night game.

Thanks again for hosting the event and wish you all the best at upcoming events. Sorry SC is out of my league, but will see you all at next years events.
