As you know every location we go to has different rules we need to adhere to at Ft. Hood.

You will have the ability to primitive camp ONLY -- NO Campers/RVs! .

We recommend Campers looking for locations off base and see there is one off Hwy 36 near West Range Road. There may be others in nearby towns.

Since it is winter, there cannot be any campfires or grills.  There is no room for error with a mistake on a windy day. We are always under the microscope when we come onto Federal installations, make sure you and your peers follow the rules, police any trash you see to AMS and others can keep coming back to this great venue!

Does the "no grills" also include like a Coleman propane stove?

No, it means no open fire grills / campfire -- i.e. charcoal.

Ok. That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure I was in the clear. Thanks. :)
