PeaceMaker27 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2017 So those of you who have seen my previous posting's know that I want to go to Iron Horse 3 next year and I was planning to buy a Krytac CRB to play. However I've watched a couple YouTube reviews and they have built better m4's in the same price range. I'm no tech so if I were to do anything I would buy a base model and build it up. So I guess the question is ...Premium vs. Custom ? As always thank you for your timeAll advice, suggestions/ comments are appreciated. Nomad_01 3 Report post Posted May 19, 2017 Custom. "Premium" aegs are not so premium when you open them up and look at what is actually in them.
Callsign-Hammer 22 Report post Posted May 19, 2017 Nomad's right. "Premium" AEGs are just another word for overpriced more often than not. I reccomend getting a decent gun that you can upgrade later, and upgrade it to fit your playstyle. You may need some help from a Tech to do some upgrades, I do NOT recommend doing internal upgrades until you know what you're doing. Get a tech to help you out, a lot of them are great guys and will be willing to give you a helping hand. A Krytac can be upgraded, don't get me wrong, but you'll end up unnecessarily spending a LOT of money.
PeaceMaker27 1 Report post Posted May 19, 2017 What brand's would you guys recommend for a base gun? I've had good experience with Cyma aks and they make all their gun full metal for a very good price. I was also looking at classic army because they have what appears to be awesome internals and I was thinking about getting a KM10 but it's made of "nylon fiber" and I'm not sure how durable that is. Thanks for the input
smokingpancake 25 Report post Posted May 20, 2017 Classic Army internals are shite; my CA Krebs AK had a stock range of about 150' shooting 400 fps (chronoed with .2s, range tested with .28s). The gearbox piston is cheap plastic, the wire gauge is too small, and the motor is slower than a quadrapelegic sloth. CYMA AKs all the way, I had a $70 plastic CM028 reaching out accurately to 220' stock on .28s. Edit:The new G&G ETU AKs look very promising as well, and have more of contractor style to them. If I already had a CYMA AK, I'd try out the G&G one next.
PeaceMaker27 1 Report post Posted May 20, 2017 I love CYMA I have a CM.028s (underfolder version)It's been through multiple rainy games and it's outlasted my cousins FN Herstal Scar LBut after every rainy game I would open it up and make sure everything was dry and every time there was little to no condensation. Love CYMA AKs but I'm looking for something more modular like a M4 but different from everyone else. I did find the GHK G5 M4 I really like it. It run about $289 on evike and $295 on airsoft gi but I can use coupons on gi. Is GHK a good company? Thanks for all the advice guys
