Anyone know who won?!

Recommended Posts

End of Saturday CoST controlled more territory, UFS had completed more FRAGO's from what I saw: depending on how Sunday gets scored, UFS most likely won off those FRAGO's. Either way, this game was one hell of a fight for both sides, with some amazing sportsmanship and great battles... a real win for everyone involved!

Agreed with the above comments. This event in particular was difficult to determine a winning side at any given point as everyone was spread so thin covering so many control points, so I could see this going either way. Regardless, major props to both sides. Some great sportsmanship and patience from everyone despite what positions they were stuck with over the weekend.

Pumped to hear the results as well.

Also interested in seeing the war crimes list... I saw a good few people in blue jeans and civies standing in morning briefing...

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't AMS events involving COST and UFS usually get scored and a Faction Winner decided because it influences a Fictional map and storyline?

Yes but it seems to take a short time for them to get things in order. I'm impatient but I understand that they need to get trailers, equipment back, items unloaded, and then on to the daily things... Including their full time jobs.

But I too am awaiting the scoring to see the victor

or all the pictures  . . . . won't say which side, but I saw one of a dude that forgot his helo kit.

You should say which side and I hope you brought it to his attention that he didn't have the correct eye pro.

No matter which side did it you can't be afraid to enforce the rules, some people on the UFS side lost a piece of their ass because I caught them with their goggles off. There is no need to take them off on the field unless you have permission from an admin.

At the chrono I had words with a guy who thought he was above the rules of having goggles, my only regret from that is I should have grabbed him by the ear and drug him out of the building and found and admin to undick him.

Agreed, fogging is not an excuse for eye-pro off scenarios.

I was actually directed to a pretty awesome solution from some other guys discussing BH4 elsewhere prior to the event. Essentially a set of magnets for each lens that can act as a wiper blade in extreme fogging situations. Thought it was pretty brilliant.

Now I just gotta find a way to keep my RX inserts from fogging and I'll be golden

Guys I have it all written up, but am waiting for one small detail.  The totals will be posted tomorrow evening for all to see.

As for fogging goggles, fogged goggles isn't our problem, it's the players.  I broke down in '09 and bought a pair of $150 fan goggles and it was the last pair of goggles that I ever bought.  I also used to use Cat Crap http://www.amazon.com/EK-10003C-Cat-Crap/dp/B002ZNA488on the inside and outside of my lenses, and it worked really well.  Fog Tech drops worked better then the cat crap from what some of my teammates told me.  I've also used shaving cream (not shave gel), and johnson's baby shampoo on goggles to prevent fogging.  If your wearing a hat that hangs over your goggles, this will also make fogging worse.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to justify a lack of eye pro (if anything I get kinda pissed when people try to skimp on eye-pro), just makin chit chat with other players.

thank's for the anti fogging advice though, it'll really help me out in the future!

The issue I saw was on some photo posted on Facebook I believe.  It was a UFS guy and I'm CoST.  That being said I would have called it out regardless of faction.  I'm an equal opportunity war crimes kinda guy.

Agree with Alex, first piece of kit I bought was the ESS turbo fans.  Worth every penny.  Ran those all weekend with minimal issues.
