There is "No drinking" on the site... said the GTI employee holding a beer.

Anybody who's gone there before...

Any other hotels in the area?

Days Inn (besides the scary reviews) is totally booked and so is the other one in town. Another about 26 miles away doesn't even exist anymore... So... Is the only choice driving an hour from Augusta if we don't want to camp?

If you don't mind "not showering" camping on the AO is not bad at all.

I don't mind being a total girl about this... A nice shower and a bed are definitely a plus if anyone wants me to be a normal human being the next day... :D

I'll be carpooling with someone but theyre staying at a hotel and Im camping on site alone. What are some recomended items that I shoud have besides like a tent and sleeping bag?

Victory Favors the prepared. It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. And when you absolutely, possitively, have to get to it ASAP, its probably at the bottom of your ruck.

Baby wipes, twice the amount of water you think you need. Cot would be a bonus but not a necessity. Camp chair is also a nice comfort item. A set of flip flops or shower shoes so your not in boots the whole time. A change of loose fitting cloths to relax in. Extra water.

Also, will there be a spot we can charge batteries at?

Hey bud.  There's a pretty sweet little charger that attaches directly to a car battery.  You could try asking around and see if someone has one (not a bad way to make money).
