OP: Broken Home II Review.

Recommended Posts

Operation: Broken Home II

First off, like many (almost all) reviews, I want to give a HUGE shout-out to the entire AMS staff. Without all the behind the scene workers, and the upfront ones, events such as BHII wouldn't be possible. Secondly I'd like to thank all the participants and spectators that drove down (or up) to make BHII come to life.

If you're looking for a rage review I'm sorry to say you'll be disappointed! I had nothing but positive things to say about broken home two, and can't wait for BHIII next year! This is my second AMS event, and can't begin to describe how much fun this past weekend brought my fellow UFS squad-mates and I.

I know a lot of people are upset about people not calling hits, or similar things but I'd like to throw my two cents in. When it all comes down to it we are all just dressing up and playing war.  :P There will always be somebody from CoST, and always somebody from UFS that doesn't follow the rules and sometimes it can be easy, unfortunately to base how a whole faction acts based on ONE player. Tempers may flare, and people can get upset, but it is just a game. (And a kick-ass one if I may add.)

GAMEPLAY:

All day Saturday I ran with my dad as a sniper/spotter team for UFS. It was my first time in the role, and one of the most enjoyable so far. Throughout the whole day we'd be doing recon, or tracking a squad down and have to get down and dirty with the mother earth in order to stay hidden. I remember right off the start we were surrounded by what seemed like a never ending sea of CDF, and three technicals. If you guys are looking for an adrenaline rush, then hiding in a bush with a ghillie suit hoping to God that nobody notices you, then try out the role! I wanna say MAD PROPS to the CoST players that found us and tagged us with your BB's. Not only were you guys cool, great to talk to, and displayed amazing sportsmanship, but you were also the only ones to find us and shoot us the entire day!   Sunday was an action packed day from start to finish! I had the pleasure of joining my fellows eagles  and Cardiac members as a rifleman in squad 4-1 for UFS, and had a blast slinging BB's, and having them slung back!

Overall I am very pleased with my experience this past weekend and hope Y'all have had the same! I'd have to say my favorite moment was walking into the airfield close to the end of Saturday and having JP tell my dad and I that we looked "Badass" with our ghillies (which he made by hand 100%). So thank you all for such a great time, and I look forward to "doing work," with everyone from Platoon 4 at Faded Giant II! Peace.  <_<

Great OP AMS... but Did they ever say who won? Yea, Good job UFS & CDF,  I had a great day running with CoST! Being a MEDIC i dont really get to engage much. I did MEDIC a whole platoon on pegasus bridge, BUt the DAM Mission was geared for the MEDIC!! I loved it. I got to take charge and get the wounded off the field. It was awesome!

Great OP AMS... but Did they ever say who won?

Nobody ever "wins" at AMS events. I look at it this way, if you got a mission, and you succeeded in your mission. You won.

You medic'd a whole platoon? You sir, freaking won. Playing medic is a blast, I was a platoon leader this year myself, but sunday our medic had heat issues, and had to pass on the game, so I took over his job as we had no willing participants. I was bandaging dudes all over on the other side of that bridge too.

I think anyone who walked away from this with a good memory or seven can mark it down as a win.

Also: Composer: Ya'll really did look badass. I may actually have this wonderful "JP moment" on camera, I was right next to him when it happened.

Good review buddy. Leave all the rage comments to me and my thread. Hahaha.

Really though, despite what I've posted, I heavily enjoyed the event and 99% of the people who attended. Great weekend!

Yeah that was Me, Transition, Tesla, and Savage that found y'all. Trust me, that encounter had me moving slow and searching for snipers the rest of the weekend. Yall did look badass. Hope to run into you two next year.
