JP,

What kind of radios and FREQs will be allowed to be used?

We will release a Comm Matrix a few weeks prior to the event, you may use custom freqs. if you want, but they need to be cleared with staff prior to this usage.

Keep in mind it's your responsibility to know the legalities of your comms TX power and freq use.

Is there a camping fee? Will there be power at the camping site to charge batteries?

No camping fee, there is only emergency electric (for medical),  so you''ll need to have the ability to charge off your car battery.

So I've seen a lot of B-roll from the AO, and it seems mostly indoors CQB style (aside from moving between buildings). As a Airsoft Sniper would it ruin my experience to be running a sniper with a solid sidearm??? Or will there be enough outdoor fights?

Sniper would be almost be a waste of time. You spend more time indoor then out and when outside most engagements are around 40 feet or less.

Run a DMR we used one alot last year transporting HVT to and from buildings. Overwatch played a key role in mission success.

Not to mention gathering intel on movement

Question about headgear - My team wears A-TACS FG but we all wear different headgear. I understand they would need to be one of the approved colors but could they be a different item such as boonie, helmet, scarf, etc.? Can you clarify this?

Helmets/Boonies need to match base faction color or squad color, shemaghs don't matter.

I.E. No OD Boonie w/ ATACS FG.

The event schedule will be posted in the next 24-48 hours in the FG2 forums.

What if I can't get my hands on a Mandrake helmet cover....?

Inquiring minds would like to second Metal's question.  Mandrake covers are hard to find, but there is still a bit of time.  I will get it airbrushed if I have to.

How far out should we expect to get some type of operations order/intel for our side prior to the event?

Will we be able to get in touch with the people in our SQD as well as other leaders prior to the event?

Thanks

Greetings,

This will be my first AM event and I am a little confused by the registration. Do I understand correctly that all players must first register for a team (Grn/Tan) at $185 then an individual (IDAM) mission is $100 additional- but that the IDAM cost covers TWO players for the IDAM? Also, I'm unclear how we register the second player for the IDAM.

Please let me know. Really looking forward to this event!

Thanks,

Wally

Update:

-- Nevermind- just got this question answered elsewhere. Thanks!

Wally

We don't put out OPRODs as that isn't MILSIM...

I KID, I KID... typically OPORDs are released 14-10 days prior to the event.

I just want to make absolutely sure about this before I get down there…  I just purchased an Amped Firebase rig that has a built in tournament lock on it (a metal housing that covers the adjustment port with holes to thread zip-ties through it).  Will this work or do I need something more?   Thanks!
