Are the CoST command net frequencies supposed to be the same as 4-1's? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong, I am a little tired today. :-)

Please disable ALL CALL TONES and ROGER BEEPS.

Abide. Do the same with VOX. Otherwise Bash will punch you in the chest. It's happened before. Ask Youngblood....

I am a little confused on this, according to http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/FRS/GMRS_combined_channel_chart, Channel 10 Privacy 3, should be 467.6125?

Think we had two staff members editing the post at the same time and it created all the errors.

I have corrected the document, and double checked the frequencies --please look over my work so we can get a second pair of eyes on it.

Thanks for bringing the error to my attention guys.

Got a question from one of my guys trying to program our radios for this op:

Can someone verify that "PL" means the Trans Power should be set to Low, and that the number after (e.g. 71.9) needs to be set for both the Transmit and Receive?

PL is the tone, Trans power is the the wattage the radio using to TX, and yes you ned the tone to match for TX / RX. Hopefully this Screen shot helps.

I am by no means a radio expert so anyone else feel free to chime in and help explain or correct me.

Anyone want to upload a baofeng config? So I can download it to my squads ahead of time.

I can upload our CHIRP .img later this evening.

Corrected, obviously we need to find someone else to do this besides me :)

Network might be willing to build each side, based on what you posted at the top. He and I will be using baofengs for the op.

Another question for you.... the Platoon Leader for 4PL is going to have monitor channels 2, 10 and 11?  Normally, our SL has to carry 2 Icoms, ones for squad net, the other for platoon net.  In this case, there is no designated platoon frequency?

No, have fun switching channels!

Feel free to carve out your own as long as they do not interfere with the listed channels and run on a custom PL / Sub. Met a great radio guru/milsimer at Shot Show this year, hopefully we can get him on board to design our Comm Matrices for the rest of 2013 and my amateur ass can bow out to a professional ;)
