  1. Missing a black pmag with a homemade magpul on the bottom.
  2. They are definitely included and pretty sure they have been every year. I have a UFS embroidered (BH1)0, UFS Rubber PVC color (BH2), and a UFS Vinyl Subdued (BH3). I have never paid extra for one. Personally, I would love it if they did a Rubber PVC the same as BH2 but in Subdued colors from BH3.
  3. Still waiting to get this video footage. It is almost time to start signing up for Broken Home 3 and many of our guys is wondering where the footage they paid for is.
  4. Has there been an update to this? We still have not received our pictures/video.
  5. Some of the original stuff is still available, but some new stuff added as well. The OP has been updated to reflect this.
  6. Let me start by saying that this year was fantastic. I know myself and many of those traveling with me were leery after Broken Home last year. We were in the Marines platoon that got railroaded into a death valley kill zone. I was pleasantly happy to say that all the issues relating to that seem to have been resolved over the last year! I know our squad had a fantastic time doing the DAM and running recon missions behind enemy lines. I worked with some great people within the UFS Marines and had a blast charging Caen. It was an overall huge improvement over last year and I already can’t wait for the next one. I included everything I could think of that could be improved and a few major points that were my highlights of the weekend. I know the list may seem small, but I would rather say the things I think could keep making it better then write pages and pages of what you already are doing right (and I assume you know). Improvements Safety Kills/Engagement Distances One of the guys in our unit safety killed 3 people at about 8 feet. Upon the safety kills, one said “We don’t have to take this.†Another proceeded to shoot him within the minimum engagement distance (~8 feet, way under the 20 feet) and the other proceeded to thank him for not shooting him and safety killing him. The guy who lit him up under 20 feet put 3 into his cheek, each of which proceeded to bleed and one into his mouth which chipped his tooth. Then during the night game, another teammate of mine had joined up with some UFS Army troops. THey came across a group in the field they were pretty sure were enemies and while my buddy was scouting them, the two Army troops happened upon another player. That player kept saying “Wildcard†to which the army troops replied they were Tan. He said something along the lines of “Alright then.†before opening fire on them at 3 feet away. The whole point of Safety Kills/Minimum Engagement distances is safety of those involved. In both of these cases, safety was clearing disregarded. In each of these cases, had the safety kill been honored (and used in the second case) then those players would have had no risk to themselves. However, due to the face that safety kills are optional, a squad mate of mine now has a chipped tooth. Both groups were in blatant violation of the minimum engagement distances. Had these occurred with a pistol, would be an entirely different situation (though one I think needs to be looked at also). The entire optional safety kill doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. For example, if someone safety kills me with a rifle shooting 400 fps, then they have to be within the 20 foot engagement distance for it to count. If I decide to challenge them, assuming I go for my pistol without saying anything, I should win most of the time due to them reacting to me and not being able to shoot me with their primary (due to being within the engagement distance). To be honest, having it optional just makes the entire rulings/situations a cluster f**k. Uniform Requirements/Enforcement For all the uniform allowances made (there are quite a lot of camos per side) it is amazing how many people failed to follow them. I noticed more on CoST then UFS (though I am not saying they weren’t there, just that I didn’t see as many), but there were many people without covers, wearing tan/black/non green t-shirts after having removed their BDUs. I know this can’t just be admins enforcing this as they are a small number, but this is something that needs to trickle down from COs, XOs, PLs and SLs. Hopefully, once brought to the players attention it is rectified, but if not admin involvement may be necessary. Personally, I would like to see ATACs, ATACs FG and multicam gone as well, but I know that probably won’t happen. The two ATACs are, in my opinion, very hard to tell apart up close and at a distance near impossible. If ATACs is to be used, I would prefer it be on one side only. As for multicam, the main problem is that under shadows it looks green. I know I engaged force once this last op when I could not make our them as multicam vs the old school woodland at the distance I shot at. I know last year I was engaging some old school woodland players in one of the dustier parts of the field and their woodland with the dusting on top looked almost exactly like multicam. Again, I know this probably won’t go away, but since it is on my side (UFS) maybe we could encourage our guys to wear tan headgear to help ID them easier. CDF It may have just been the fact that they were kicking our butts most of the weekend, but I really disliked the CDF this year. For being a primarily civilian militia, it seemed counter intuitive that they had more vehicle support and heavy weaponry then the majority of the UFS (or so it seemed). Again, I know this isn’t really AMS’s job as the players brought their own vehicles and weapons, but it was something that bugged me. I would have prefered to see them more as they had been the last 2 years, more of a roleplaying faction. I could have easily seen them be a neutral third party that ferried the highest bidder around in their trucks allowing troops to get deep within the other teams territory. Or by having headgear of the proper color, able to be hired out to support either side. I did hate the constant flip flopping and no way to tell which side they were fighting for at the time. That said, they did an excellent job utilizing their vehicles and weaponry all weekend and for that I commend (and hate lol) them. Respawns Saturday morning, I know that respawns were confusing to the majority of my squad and platoon in general. We were told the COC was a respawn, but that we would have a portal respawn set up at the airfield. When I died I headed that way, only to find the airfield in enemy hands. While this was unfortunate, even worse was the fact that we had no other idea where any other respawn points were. I think having them marked on maps, even if it is by faction, would be a huge help so people would have an idea where to go on respawn. COC Attackable During the safety briefing, we were told that COCs were attackable and holdable for up to 10 minutes, but not capturable. This appeared true in the morning when our COC was attacked. However, later that afternoon when we attacked the enemy COC we were told it was not allowed. Was told by an admin that it was only allowed on Sunday, a CoST player it was only allowed when all the other objectives were held and was told what I mentioned above in the safety briefing. Would be nice to have this standardized so that there is no more confusion in future ops. COCs in towns Due to the COCs being in the 2 major towns on the field, I felt like they were underutilized for game play. I know many people complain that Coleville becomes the focus on Sunday, but I feel that is partially due to the fact that it is a good battlefield to fight over. By stationing COCs in those two places you are removing 2 of the best places to fight over in my opinion. DAM Mission Our major critique from the DAM staff (and rightly so) was that we did not triage properly. We discussed this (and our whole DAM mission) for quite a while as a team and agreed that we could have done some things better. However, we also wanted to note that to us, there were a few things that would have assisted in the process. First off, due to our actors actually being alive rather then dead, it would have been nice to implement some sort of response to taking someones pulse. After I have put my fingers and checked for around 5 seconds, have the player say dead or alive, or if you want to keep that out of it (and more real!) have them cough. This would let us know that that player is still considered alive at the time and most likely unconscious. I know I personally mediced a dead person, because I assumed they were alive and just unconscious. Second, during the debriefing we were told we should have went to the players who could have talked to us first during the triage. I am not medically trained, but for the most part is it not true that those who are unconscious are usually in a worse off state then those who are able to describe their symptoms? I know that was my thinking going into the mission and maybe I was incorrect, but I felt that I tried to prioritize the people who were most coherent later, compared to those who were unconscious and with serious injuries (neck etc). I want to finish saying that I loved the mission and thought it was fantastic. As I said we went over this as a squad for about an hour and half discussing what we did and what we thought we should have done and what we believed could be improved. EDIT: Also I know that one Friday night it took us a long time to get in touch with Frosty and then Phil to get our DAM time. Then the following morning we were there at our time, but the group before us had not run theirs yet either. It worked out for us, but just wanted to note that the time could have been a little sharper. Favorite Parts Dam Mission The entire premise and execution was awesome. It was an excellent exercise in something that doesn’t often get realistically depicted in airsoft, even milsim ops, and helped us evaluate the gear we had prepared. I think we were ahead of the game with some of the items we had brought with us and I know some got extensively and critically used (the portable stretcher and smoke). We also got a look at how some of our gear was inadequate, such as most of us having 1 point slings resulting in us abandoning our primaries while working on the wounded. Infact I have a MS2 convertible sling, but do not have a forward sling mount meaning I can’t put it in 2 point format. That is changing soon! In addition to the scenario itself, I want to mention how amazing the actors themselves were. They did a great job making it as real as possible by acting as a real unconscious person would (not stiffening to help out people carrying you). It is the small things like this that really made the DAM something special. It was definitely one of the most fun, challenging and memorable things I have done in airsoft and I look forward to doing more in the future. Medic Rule I loved this years variation on the medic rule. By making the individual soldier keep track of their own bandages, it really takes the confusing part out of trying to make sure you have the right count of bandages and able to resupply your medic. It is by far my favorite implementation yet. Hit Calling Both sides did an excellent job in all the firefights I saw calling their hits. I love going to events where this is the case as it is that much easier to congratulate people on those long, amazing shots. And I know it feels that much better when you shoot at a guy thinking, “No way I am going to hit him.†Only to have him honorably call the hit that you somehow hit him with. CoST At Caen ~3:45-4pm Saturday Thanks for the great firefight at your COC near the end of the day Saturday. I know it was ended early due to confusion over the COC attack rulings, but you guys were good sports about it and before it was called off it was a pleasure to sling plastic with you. I know when I went to grab my thunder b I had thrown, many of you congratulated us on being able to sneak up on the COC and I wanted to say it helped take off the sting of our attack being admin stopped.
  7. I was a member of Marine 1-1 and on the force that assaulted Caen. I am not sure if it is the same time you are thinking of or not Mayo, but we attacked at 3:45. We had been told that the game ended at 4 and honestly had no idea Caen was CoST's COC. We had been hoping to snag Caen right before the game ended so we would own it for the next day. We had spent an hour and half hiking through the hills getting behind Caen and dodging and relaying truck movement back to command before sneaking in and attacking with our 7 guys and did quite a bit of damage (or so it seemed) before Rick Kastway told us that we weren't supposed to attack that day. Another CoST player told us that COCs were only attackable when you controlled the entire rest of the field. All I know is that during the safety briefing (of which our squad was in 2 separate ones) we all had been told COCs were attackable and holdable for 10 minutes, but not capturable. I also want to mention and thank the CoST players who were in Caen (and who we encountered throughout the field) at the time as they were all honorable and taking hits. To those who were dead and around those who weren't I apologize for any of you I or anyone in our squad hit. It was not intentional, just that you guys were interspersed in a target rich environment. I know our squad for the whole weekend had no hit calling issues and it was a pleasure to see that. To the player who I traded pistol fire with, the shots that you hit me with were on my gun. I know I tried to tell you that as it happened, but you seem pretty heated. You did hit me when we exchanged pistol fire, and then got shot again by one of my squadmates behind me. I know that when I went to go retrieve my thunder b shell, I got to talk to a few of them and they congratulated us on getting the drop on the them and it helped, but I do have to say a lot of our squad were jaded that our attack on the CoST COC was shut down while the ones on ours (of which 2 of the squad mates were present for) were allowed. EDIT: I just wanted to add that I don't bear any ill will to Kastway. I assumed that either himself or our squad had been given faulty information. Also to the player who I pistol fought with. I am only human and make mistakes. If you did hit me and I did not feel, hear or see it, I apologize. You can ask anyone within the ASN organization, but I do my best to call any hits that may or may not have happened (I have even called myself out when a grasshopper hit my plate carrier).

I made sure everything was good to go internally as well. However, the last time I tested it, I noticed an issue. It seems the trigger is knocking itself out of alignment when shooting it. 12. I got to say I disagree strongly with this. Part of the fun of camping is being able to meet those around you, CoST included. We had a great time chatting with the UFS Army guy camping near us the CoST squad as well.
  13. So what you are saying is we should have disregarded orders from admins? I am thoroughly confused by this post. We were flanking (quite successfully actually) when we were told we HAD to pull out as we weren't allowed to be there. I don't know about you, but when an admin tells me I can or can't do something (such as rules) I tend to listen to them, as I know they are the ones planning the event and the ones who control who gets to play and who doesn't. Just imagine if that attitude was applied to rules the admins set forth...
  14. Pretty sure our guy found that and turned it in to the lost and found.
