Extra clothes are nice to have for if/when your others get dirty/wet but not an essential necessarily, just really nice to have. Good boots are essential, there is lots of hills/ravines and lots of walking and it sucks if your feet hurt. Pedialite or something rich in electrolytes/minerals/vitamins helps a lot. The tablets you can put in your bladder are good. Looks like it's only gonna be ~80 degrees but still kinda hot. Would suggest running as light weight as you can and ditching stuff like balaclavas and maybe helmet, roll up your sleeves. Backup guns, plenty of batteries, extra eye pro. 1 is none, 2 is one. Carb/Vitamin/Mineral rich snacks for on the field.

I agree somewhat. It seemed like a big attack and defend where they got to pre setup and wait for us. We quickly took a majority of the upper city, eventually getting the police station (which was quite a good bit of open space to get to) The other 2 buildings in the upper city were the mosque which their mobile respawn was behind and basically impossible to attack, and the other building the entrances could be covered by the mosque pretty easily and it was pretty easily defendable aswell. The rest of the field we couldn't really get to because we had to cross hella open ground to get to wherever we went and if we tried to go to the tunnel entrance in the ditch we just get hit by the mosque or one of the buildings they sat in. This AO is not good for a big attack and defend game with a lot of the AO being easily defendable and seemingly impossible to attack from where we could. Turned into a big stalemate. Our command didn't seem too good might have been apart of it. Second day was a little better, we could actually do some stuff and we got more buildings. The Blacksheep game at this AO I loved, it was more fair, less people, more missions etc.. Sounds like cost had a good time sitting in buildings shooting people running across large open areas at them a lot of times through "kill holes".

Both are great vests, I like the 6094 style vests better than the Banshees personally though. I've tried both.

It's ironic you say that. I ordered one monday . I have 4 non-working GBB pistols hanging on my gun wall, 2 KWAs, A WE, and the socom gear. Things suck, only ones that lasted me a decent amount of time were one of the KWAs and the surprisingly the WE.

Federal Advance Buckles Under Coalition Pressure
Claude Rimbeck – Free Press Society

On January 28th Coalition UAV reconnaissance of UFS military installations in Southern Colorado showed heat blooms of numerous military vehicles. "This is when we knew it was the real deal and the Federals were going to use the SW corridor to enter New Mexico and Texas. So their surprise attack was really not a surprise at all." Said an Sam Rockins a CoST Senior intelligence analyst.

In fact Coalition forces had tracked the progress of the Federal advance until communication links were disrupted by some unknown event. Not wishing to be identified because he did not have authority to publicly speak on the matter a Coalition official did acknowledged FNN reports of UFS Special Forces disrupting communications. "Elements of the UFS 8th Mountain Special Forces were able to enter Coalition territory undetected and disrupt command and control communications, however our backup CNC systems came online just a few hours after the initial disruption. At no time did we lose any critical communication with our battlefield commanders or forces"

Coalition forces where able to deploy blocking forces to all major highways and supply routes in effort to cut off any Federal advancement towards Abilene, Fort Worth, Dallas, Del Rio, San Antonio and Austin.

Officials have been quoted as saying that currently Amarillo and Lubbock are strong pointed and cut off by Federal forces but should be liberated within the next few weeks as Coalition forces sweep West picking off over extended Federal forces as they try and advance towards SW Oklahoma.

The tiny town of Roosevelt, Oklahoma has played host to the largest and most violent battle to date in this unwarranted and illegal Federal offensive into Coalition territory.

A small CoST force was mobilized to enforce the town of Roosevelt and secure Route 19 from the advancing Federal forces. The Coalition commander knowing his force was ill equipped,  ill supplied and under manned to handle Federal armor and artillery devised a brilliant plan to "string" the Federal forces out.

Arriving nearly 24 hour before Federal forces where within artillery range. The Coalition forces quickly constructed key bunker and defensive positions outside and inside the city. As the Federal forces advanced CoST troops executed well designed ambush after ambush quickly dulling the attack of the Federals.

With in 48 hours the Federal advance was nearly ground to a halt. With a single fortified position left the Coalition forces began to withdraw under the cover of darkness North along Route 19 towards the town of Clinton and the Capitol,  Oklahoma City.

The Federal forces suffer such a high casualty rate that they abandoned any notion of securing Route 19 any further than the town of Roosevelt. The once offensive Federal forces have now been placed on the defensive as Coalition troops sweep West from the Dallas and Fort Worth area looking to drive back the Federals all the way back to Colorado.

Guys, AMS provides you the player with the Frame Work. We can't control the weather, how players use the terrain, their comm gear, equipment, etc...

You as a player are EXPECTED to be combat effective in the given conditions.

You are EXPECTED to be physically fit, especially if you asked to be a QRF/Special team squad which is required to complete objectives around the AO.

You are EXPECTED to properly hydrate and be self-sufficient on the AO.

YOU are EXPECTED to do basic Land Nav.

As discussed in this post, there are things AMS can do to make our event run smoother, and make it more enjoyable for you guys. But at the end of the day you guys are going to have to put in some leg work in prepping for AMS events such as OBH in order to really get the most of out it.
