Awww maaan, we can still photograph from up there right?
  2. Hello ladies and gentlemen, My sister and I are working on a prototype piece of gear and need to get the general measurement of teenage and adult arms around the Biceps and Triceps area, This measurement is important to try and make the gear as ''one size fits all'' as possible. If you are at least 16 years of age or older and are interested in helping us out you can reply below with measurements, To obtain this measurement 1.Extend your arm and rest it on a wall or table. 2.Place a sewing measuring tape or string around the ''peak'' or the tallest point of your Biceps and wrap around your arm taking care to not let the tape/string be too snug nor too loose. 3.Record measurement Thanks so much -Josh
  3. I saw a post on facebook ufs group saying the roster should be out this week or early next week for UFS at least. As far as breaks there are non only endex or ones you take on your own time
  4. Will you be getting more thunder flash grenades?
  5. All the better to slim down to get up that ladder of building 66, for the snipes son. Also I'm sure we are but does the medics follow the mag rule aswell?
  6. I buy all my tech parts through luis at brill armory lots of parts for great prices retro arms is what i would recommend a little more pricey but it will last you and you won't have fitment issues http://www.brillarmory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=46&products_id=437 or lonex http://www.brillarmory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=46&products_id=210
  7. Not a huge problem at all ,it sounds like your cut off lever is worn out all you need is to buy another one and take it to a Tech over at SS in atlanta if you don't feel comfortable taking it down yourself.
  8. Inside (any structure having 4 walls)sound grenades will kill you if you are within the 15 foot kill radius and are not behind HARD cover, outside however sound grenades are useless as you must be struck by a bb or pea/clay pellet from a grenade like tornado, cyclone, pea, enola's clay remake, thunder b with bbs etc... for it to count as a kill. Heres the rule set with everything down to smokes. EXPLOSIVE DEVICES, IED, ROCKETS AND SMOKE ** RED SMOKE IS RESERVED FOR AMS STAFF ONLY ** A. OUTSIDE All simulated explosives used I.E. Tornado grenade must detonate and cause a BB strike to eliminate a player. B. INSIDE All simulated explosives used must simply detonate within 15 feet to eliminate a player. A BB strike is NOT needed inside. “Inside†is defined as having four (4) walls and does not have to have overhead cover. C. All player grenades must be thrown under arm, this is to prevent injury. D. Any Pneumatic/Gas grenades that require CO2 or Green Gas/Propane are allowed. E. Please see below list for approved pyro grenades. F. Rockets fired by a HWS will have a 15ft kill radius from initial impact. G. Rockets fired by a HWS are only effective on structures if they hit INSIDE the structure itself. H. Rockets fired by a HWS effectively disable all Vehicles but does not kill its occupants unless impacted inside the cab. I. Players may use any “name brand†airsoft grenade (Escort, AI, etc...). No modified grenades are allowed. J. Ricochets from player thrown grenades is treated as fragmentation and will count as a hit. K. Thunder B's will be counted as a "grenade" when used as a suicide device with a lethal kill radius of 15 feet (must detonate). L. Suicide vests have a lethal radius of 12 feet and are triggered by the player simply displaying the device. M. Any suicide device must be TRIGGERED prior to being shot or captured for search. N. No explosives, open flame or hot burning smoke will be allowed for fire hazard/safety reasons. O. Smoke may not be used inside of buildings. P. No blank firing devices.
  9. fenix and streamlight protac series make some great options for a fair price, opticsplanet is a great place to find realsteel stuff for good prices as alot of youtubers have 5% off coupons like country5 from Countryboy5 channel and unlike airsoft retailers when OP runs sales you can still use coupons and get pretty Gucci items for sometimes half the msrp. I use a Gen2 Inforce WML, honestly its good however its not one I would recommend unless you have a specific use, a light with more throw would be a better option for a weapon light but if you mount lights overbore it's a good option.
  10. Yeah they were for sale but DAMs always sell out in about the first 30mins-1hour after tickets go live, I just got home from work tonight and saw they canceled them for OP:34 II .
  11. The google maps puts things in 200ft grids I believe and parking is usually by the registration so while it would be possible to get back to your car it will be a walk from some areas of the AO. When you click on the event name like in this case Iron Clad 3 right above the Q&A topic there is a topic called the Ironclad archive and it has all the threads and information from previous Iron clad events such as the map I linked it will also have the events AARs so you can read through those and get a better feel for what you can expect to see and then you can plan for it. Honestly I wouldn't worry about having to get a back up gun from the car I've seen dudes with taped up JG ak47s make it through events ok but if you want to you can load your mags and gun into a gun bag and leave it at the FOB under a tarp that is what I did at Op34 with my M249 and its easier since you only have to cross the AO with it twice once in once out just make sure you put your name on it ,lock it and bike chain it to something in case someone decides they want to ''Mistake'' it for theirs. Like I said I'm not trying to be an ass or turn you off going, knowledge is power and experience is key ,once you get IC3 under your belt you'll know what to bring and where to go for next year. if you like IC3 when you go, check out faded giant, iron horse and Reindeer games since they are also pretty close to you too.
  12. I believe it is allowed if you keep it under 30 rps , the reason I am not sure 100% is that I've only seen them on vehicles so I'm not sure if it is good to carry then again I don't think many people want to try it lol.
  13. This is answered in the rule set mate. roles ROLE RESTRICTIONS SQLs leaders are responsible to ensure their squad follows the event rules, roles, ammo and reloading restrictions. A squad is defined as a team of 12 people. A. Four (4) Sniper/Spotter teams allowed per main factions. One (1) per Squad Max limit. B. Six (6) EOD specialist per main factions, these are the only players that can disarm/demo explosives. C. One (1) Medic, HWS, DMR per main faction squad. (Some special teams will be exempt from this rule) D. Two (2) SSW per squad. E. Players may serve dual roles i.e. DMR/HWS but the limit must be observed. F. Game staff may assume any of these roles while embedded with a squad. Parking to AO http://americanmilsim.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2753-important-driving-directions-to-ironclad/ I do not mean this in a rude or sharp way I understand coming into a new event organization you will have many questions about what you can and can not do it's natural we all do but please take the time to read over the rules carefully and do a quick search on the forum using the search bar to see if your question was already asked and answered before making a bunch of new topics, If you can not find the answer you need then consolidate all your questions into one topic,This will also get you a quicker answer as you do not have to wait for someone to come on and give you a answer over 3 different posts. The Rule set http://americanmilsim.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3201-american-milsim-ruleset/&do=findComment&comment=26440
  14. Your scar is fine for rifleman as long as it shoots under 400 fps with a .20 and you have the ability to fire semi reliably. As for coming alone you will be grouped up with other guys/ ladies to make up complete squads you don't need a team, its a great way to meet a lot of cool people too. Just make sure you know the rule set by heart, http://americanmilsim.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3201-american-milsim-ruleset/&do=findComment&comment=26440
  15. JP.... I made a dumb mistake again lol when I bought my ticket I forgot to select the D.A.M,if I go though again and just buy the D.A.M ticket on its own I'll be good right? Edit: Never mind it worked you can buy the tickets separately you just have to pay the tax again.
  16. yes clear ponchos are allowed, just a tip wear them under your carriers it makes life easier.
  17. It will most likely be SD and UFS as last year we ''secured'' the facility from CoST and this year the story is SD is not complying with UFS in releasing its technical data / protocols or something along those lines so that means UFS will probably end up trying to go in militarily and get it and SD will have to defend and prevent the forces from taking it. This was posted up on the forum awhile ago Sierra Dynamics Corporation under Federal Investigation Claude Rimbeck – Free Press Society The Sierra Dynamics Corporation (NYSE: SDYNS) is the target of a new Federal investigation. The company which operates in 60 countries around the world has allegedly not been complying with Federal requests for access to metadata and encryption protocols used by the company's suite of communication and navigation services. These services range from consumer household electronics, such as the GPS hardware in smartphones, military avionics and communication systems and GPS guided munitions. Federal defense analysts speculate that 80% of the Federal States military fleets, such as aircraft, naval ships and ground mobility units use some type of hardware or software developed by Sierra Dynamics.
  18. Odd question here but could I make a descent size pyro order for event pickup about a month before the event? the order is like 20 thunder flash grenades and about 5 thermo grenades and 5 of these for Op:34 pick up.
  19. To be honest I think most people miss understand the role of the medic, we are not there to be your own personal aid station or to run around the AO getting every person in the rear yelling medic we are there to keep an effective fighting force pushing the front and towards the objectives meaning we are all attached to a squad just like in reality we are to stay with said squad and medic our downed fighters so if you stay with your squad and your medics stay with you and know the squads planned movement then there should be no reason you bleed out unless you guys get ambushed and wiped out.... or your squads medic has a habit of running into machine gun fire trying to get one guy as you all get lit up. Above all we am there to have fun too not spend all day bleeding out because there is no other medic around to pick us back up. But back on topic I do support the MSW tourniquets over the ace bandage as you do not gain any real system breaking speed once the person digs around for it and as long as it is not set up before hand ,dealing with them are more hygienic than the ace bandages as they do not drag in the dirt and grime to get super soggy wet with nasty sweat ,muck and whatever else may be in those AOs. I really think it is something that should be at least offered as an option along side the ace bandages for those who want to use them as I know not everyone wants to spend $24 on 2 MSW tourniquets.
  20. No problem , If you think they will be helpful to you run them dude any thing to give you that edge, and on top of round counting they also have the positive of being able to track so you can see if you need hop up adjustment as in those dark buildings white bbs and a torch can only go so far just make sure you have a quality tracer unit to get the most of your system. Good luck with whatever you choose and see you there.
  21. Yes they are allowed but if its not bio don't use them for one its the requirements and two its for the respect of the AO owners. Excel make bio tracers they are sold through RWA. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/AdvanceSearchResult?search=true&productcode=Excel&mode=simple&keyword_search=Excel&productname=Excel&brandId= I just personally wouldn't use them because every time you shoot the tracers will be like a 'Please shoot me'' beacon.
