You must have missed the part where I said we did dcu bottoms which is VERY easy to tell and till got shot by friendly. Arid and tropic was brought up last year and guess what. That was shot down quickly. Its over and MC is tan. Need to give it a rest.

Here we go again with the MC should be outlawed bandwagon. Not being rude but this comes up EVERY year and EVERY year its answered the exact same way. Its in the rules and accepted so we need to move on from this argument that isnt needed.

I believe the way it is stated that solid faction specific colored tops MUST be worn with matching solid color bottoms.
While I will wait for JP to clarify this it seems that at past events it became extremely hot. I would believe that solid faction color appropriate tops might be allowed of short-sleeved t-shirts and the like for cooler temperature wearing tops.
The same allowance seems to go for cold or wet weather tops; being that the color is faction specific.
While I know many of the fashion conscientious like to combine faction specific solid color tops with their faction specific camo pants; I believe the staff does not want us to remove camo tops and then run around with the wrong faction allowed colored under shirts.
But as stated an AMS Admin will clarify this for all. They are awesome like that!

    Jazz and B --
I hear you on the fragos, while people love them it makes it very difficult for the on field commanders keep cohesion. We are always looking for a way to get each player that "door kicker" feeling. We will keep trying to figure that puzzle out
But I understand 100% what you're both saying.

I have to say I had a blast at this event, definitely a great game with great plays on both sides.
First, what went well: lots of death and firefights. Nothing like watching my tiny handful of hard chargers holding the line against the bulk of tan multiple times throughout the weekend, that was impressive. Even better, watching that same group grind UFS down and push all the way to their FOB on Sunday, then fight to the last round long enough for us to complete our objective there... well done! UFS, you guys put up a hell of a fight the entire event, and gave us plenty to shoot at. Much appreciated! AMS, the admin presence on the field was fantastic, and I have to say this was probably my favorite event so far. Sportsmanship was fantastic from my perspective, and in our area I constantly saw fistbumps after every fight.
Now for the bad: I started out with a little over 40 in my company, and lost half in the first hour due to the weather, battery issues, or gun malfunctions. Plan ahead guys, bring an extra gun or two, extra batteries, and ammo. Oh, and drink water: just because it's 15 degree does not mean you won't get dehydrated. I also have to echo Jazzman about the FRAGO's: nothing will destroy the morale of a group that is desperately holding a position, waiting for reinforcements, only to hear they got pulled for a wanna-be DAM mission. Hit calling was actually pretty good, minus a few notable exceptions: first, pay attention to your surroundings... rockets hitting the snow next to you can be quiet, and no good player wants to rob someone of an amazing shot. Second, if you are in a leadership position you have to remember all eyes are on you: regardless of your reasoning, if you decide not to take a hit then you have cheapened all the work your guys have done.
Overall, this event was awesome. Big thanks to Helios and Patches for leading that fantastic group of guys and girls, you all did some serious work this weekend. Also want to shout out to Transition and his guys from High Ground Airsoft: you guys were a pleasure to run into, and your sportsmanship was excellent. Anderson, great job giving hell with what little you had available, it was a lot of fun. And as always, thanks to AMS for putting on a hell of an event!

First off I want to compliment AMS staff for the many changes that were implemented in regards to registration. Chrono ran smooth and without any hiccups to my knowledge. Saw several guns sent out to be packed up due to not meeting FPS requirments. The check list needing to be stamped by chrono crew, safety brief crew, etc, etc. Is a fantastic Idea. My only tweak would be that the form be available before hand. And all stamps would need to be collected prior to registration. That way without the stamps you don't get ANY of your player package. No patch, wrist band, goodies, etc.  Just my .02

    Federal Forces Clash with Coalition
    Wes Mantooth – FNN
At 4:30 AM CST Federal forces moved to interdict Coalition troops traveling highway 183 just Northeast of Vernon. Both Federal and Coalition forces exchanged fire with no reported casualties. The Coalition forces quickly withdrew from the engagement.
SFC Davis commented on the gun fight that ensued:
"It's most likely a small CoST scouting force. We got word down from command that the Coalition would be sending scouting elements to probe our lines South of Roosevelt.  I hope they come back, we have been  itching for a fight! I am happy to hand those CoST guys another defeat here. If the President would just let us march on Dallas this war would be over by the summer!"
FNN's Military analyst Jed Nelson thinks the situation is going to get worse before it gets better:
"I am glad our troops down South are in such high spirits because the top brass seems to be very concerned with a heavy Coalition offensive this spring / summer. There have been rumors of  Coalition command and logistic changes during the winter months. Not to mention it has been leaked by the State Department that the Coalition has re-organized their forces and set forth a very aggressive strategy for 2015. If our government keeps underestimating the Coalition and tries to submit them with economic sanctions I think we could be in for a difficult and bloody summer."
FNN's will keep you updated as event unfold.

I wasn't there, so I can't comment as to majority of this. What I can tell you is that not all "red shirts" are admins. There are also photographers, medic staff, and so on, that wear red shirts to signify that they are not active players, etc.
    Just tossing that in there.

I'm sorry you guys had a bad time and I'm sorry you had to guard a building for 5 hours for no reason but you need to blame your command for not giving you the intell you needed. AMS gives the command elements the room to plan and develop the battlefield, we take the info they give us and we build from there for months as to, where troops should go, what we want first etc, etc, so start with blaming your platoon leaders or just your command element before you start with AMS. If you didn't know who your command element was before the game then that's your fault for not following the forum, I don't know if that's the case or not but that's what usually happens. People don't follow the forum and don't get involved in the planning and they wash out and don't get involved because they don't know anyone and then they hate the game.
Rogue players; There will always be the dirt bags who cheat, steal, and don't follow the rules. I once walked into a room at Broken Home to find a dozen players with goggles off. They refused to put them back on until I told them I would call Frosty and have him talk to them. Shit happens There will never be enough admin on the field to police everyone and there will never be enough admin with the correct info all the times. Most of the time if an admin doesn't know the answer then they call someone to help, if they didn't do this or go out of their way to help then doom on them because they should have.
Weather and temps; No way can AMS please everyone, the games are either to hot or to cold but never just right lol. ESR 19 started out perfect and by Sunday we had a blizzard and we couldn't play, Broken Home always has a huge amount of drops due to heat and humidity, Rebel Yell last year was suppose to be 80 degrees and he broke the 100 degree mark by noon Saturday.
This is MILSIM, your not going to find the perfect for a game, I have been to Lions Claws games and been bored out of my mind but I have also been to some where I had the best time of my life. I have been pissed at AMS and loved them at the same time, we need to learn to bend with the good and bad and some times we just need to create our own fun.

Pretty much what Jazzman said.  The two teams have somewhat different leadership and organizational styles, but other than that we're all just putting on tan or green to run around shooting at each other.  Try CoST, then UFS.  Or just CoST.  You should definitely join CoST.
    IMHO *cough*

Please chrono all your guns at the same time.
More times than I can recall, and at every event, peoples guns go down so they go get another gun then get mad because there is nobody at chrono, or they just go out with the gun not tested.
Most times the people running the chrono are playing in the game.
Be prepared for all things to go to hell at any time.  It usually will.
